Details:
active ingredient 25% Zinc Oxide, Non-Nano
Application: goes on thicker & whiter than other sunscreens I have tried such as Burnout and Blue Lizard and chem screens. However, it soon fades to invisible.
Esthetics: leaves skin feeling slightly moist and tacky (unlike the others listed above) - this is not a problem for me since I do not have oily skin. It feels similar to regular moisturizers.
Results: I have not worn it out in full sun yet, only worn it out and about and at work - but my bigger concern is UVA, so hard to tell how it performs for UVB until I wear it at the pool/beach/slopes/boat
I have not been able to find information which would tell me how much better a 25% ZnO formula performs against UVA than a 20% sunscreen, for example.
Conclusion: I would buy this again. The packaging and website are very clear and forthcoming with respect to details regarding the product.
I paid $16.50 for 4 ounces. This is a good deal to me.

I dont know what the other ingredients are for the Kabana one, but 25% zinc if its invisible on the skin is about as good as it gets.
What do they declare the spf as?
Here's another 25% zinc SS that looks like it might be good too if you dont have oily skin (the shea butter, olive oil, wax and glycerin might be too wet looking tho):
25% zinc oxide, Eldorado Springs Artesian Water, certified organic extra virgin olive oil, certified organic jojoba oil, vegetable glycerin, certified organic shea butter, vegetable emulsifying wax, vegetable vitamin e.
http://celticcomplexion.com/products/sun-protection
It declares itself spf 32 and is $30 for 3 oz. The company also has a tinted moisturizer that has 25% zinc but its $60 for one oz. EEP!
Is this the Kabana Green Screen ingreds list? If so, it looks a lot like the Celtic one:
"The Complete List of Ingredients in Green Screen D SPF 35 Original
25% non-nano Zinc Oxide
Eldorado Springs Artesian Water
Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Certified Organic Beeswax
Vegetable Vitamin E (non-gmo from sunflower seeds)
Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol, 400IU/ounce sunscreen)" |

wow, 25% zinc oxide. Thought it would bump up the spf higher than 35. |
