I did one treatment of Vivace which is micro needling with RF and PRP. It is meant to be done once a month for three sessions. Due to scheduling issues I was unable to schedule my second visit and I’m glad I didn’t. About 5 to 6 weeks after I noticed a loss of volume in my face to the point where my cheeks seemed to disappear and my face became bottom heavy. My neck now sags and I will be scheduling a lower face lift since I don’t think trying to fill in my face with filler is going to work long term. I am 55, so volume loss is more evident. The spa where I went said they haven’t encountered this before and everyone else loves it. I did some research, unfortunately after the fact, and found that it isn’t uncommon and usually hard to find negative reviews because the maker of the device pays top dollar to have them hidden. At first I thought it worked because my skin appeared smoother, but that may have been due to swelling. I don’t think they were too aggressive because I had asked that they start off light and they agreed. I would do some checking on sites like Real Self and if you are older, maybe not take the chance. Just my two cents. |

I've never considered thermage or any other radio frequency treatment..just because instinctively I feel I shouldn't do it. I'm one of those who listen to that inner voice.
I also passed on laser treatments that melt fat to firm..of course it would result in volume loss in the face. I've had a few places try to talk me into that. No thank you.
Microneedling is a safe bet and some other laser treatments that don't reduce fat are a good option too. I'm also a huge fan of topicals that do transform skin..but they take time.
I'm struggling now with a sagging neck that seemed to appear overnight after losing weight..I'm going to try every DYI thing I can to improve the situation.... I'll post here if I have any success. |
