Hello all - I am completely new to all of this so I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations.
I am looking into the Obagi or ZO skin care lines. I had a consultation with a doctor today who recommended ZO but I wanted to do further research. I am 24 years old and I currently use a Vitamin C moisturizer, I spent many years tanning, I have normal-oily skin (it's oily but not enough where it bothers me), I am not prone to acne, I do not have discolouration. I mainly want a moisturizer day or night that will prevent signs of aging, I am also looking for an eye cream of the same nature, I have dark circles as well.
Any suggestions or recommendations outside of ZO or Obagi I am Open to as well.
Thank you! |

The Doctor who formulated Obagi has sold that company and started some years ago ZO. Obagi has moved on, using some of his formations and changing others.
I used obagi years ago.. it's nuderm system worked well for me. But that was for anti aging.. it makes your skin peel like crazy and after six weeks you have flawless skin. Great for sun spots.. and wrinkles.
I used Obgi elestaderm face cream.and didn't really see what all the hype was about.
I've been researching Zo lately, thinking I may go back to that.and I did read some of his creams are award winning. It might be his sunscreen .. i can't recall. I'm pretty sure both have been discussed somewhere on this forum.
My thought and advice would be to try ZO first, because that is where the original doctor is, and he's moved ahead with the times and his old company is just using his name and older formulations. |

I'm loving Lifeline products, my skin has never looked better, clear and shrunken pores. Been on it for 3.5 weeks now, no breakouts. |

How are the lifeline products? are you still using them? I've recently come across them and I'm interested, but am trying to find some information about the results.
Would love to know your thoughts @buggaboo. |

That's so interesting with the history of Obagi! I am intrigued how there wasn't a non-competition clause in the sale contract when it was sold.

Zo is so overrated and over-marketed. I don't like their stuff at all. Just read the ingredients. SLS and dimethicone! |

I've come back to add to my long ago thoughts on this.. I tried the ZO line and didn't like it much at all. The original Obaji nuderm Dr. Obaji formulated worked way better for me.
The bottom line is Retin A and Retinols are both scientifically proven to turn skin cells over and renew the skin. Almost every cosmetic line has them now and with some sophisticated patented formulations. I'd suggest choose a line you love and read the reviews. |
