Yes, I think I found a very good doctor...I am so glad I didn't go forward with the first doc and the Deep FX...
Thank you all for the good thoughts! |

Just wanted to give a quick update...
Its been almost 2 months since I had the punch excision done...had a followup with my doc last week.
I would say at this point, there has been at least a 50-70% improvement...I had a total of 18 scars removed...I am very fortunate that my doc was highly skilled.
My doc said I am still healing and should continue to see improvement.
In the meantime, I am continuing to baby my face...using honey to wash in the AM, followed by DIY Vitamin C serum, CeraVe SA cream and Elta MD sunscreen..in the evening,I use Trader Joes Refresh body wash to remove my makeup (this stuff rocks at only $2.50 for huge bottle, and no harsh detergents, good PH)...then use witch hazel to tone...and alternate nights with SBs exfol serum and CP serum, followed by CeraVe SA.
I am also taking 2000 mg of Vitamin C and 4000 mg of Vitamin D daily.
I have ditched the Retin A, Exfol and anything else 'harsh'...and, I have seen a remarkable difference in the texture of my skin...the lumpy, bumpy texture is gone...my eye area is no longer thin..and I am seeing a gradual improvement with pores and firmness.
If you have deep acne scars, I would highly recommend this procedure first, before laser...laser won't touch deep scarring...its so important to find a good cosmetic surgeon to do this procedure...I may have some laser, but at this point, my results are pretty satisfactory and will wait until my collagen fills in completely. |
