Hi all,
Here is my best beauty secret..George Michael Hair care products. I haven't seen any threads on this and which leads me to believe many may not know of them (shocking, I know).
Anywho, I LOVE the entire line. I have long hair and I have never found OTC shampoos to be suitable. The GM bottles last forever and the shampoos are mild and effective. If you have long hair (or want to grow your shoulder length hair out), then give George Michael's products a go. And no, this is not the singer from 'Wham' who does bad stuff in public bathrooms. This George Michael has retired, but handed over his rights to Madora (which is why you'll see both names).
The best part is learning about long hair care. You just can't treat it like short hair. Most women over condition their hair, use to much product (if you see tons of bubbles...you are wasting your shampoo), and don't brush correctly (let alone use the right tools). Side comment: ONLY use boar hair bristles or maybe I should say...NATURAL bristles on DRY hair. They are far more gentle and will distribute your natural oils to the ends...and yes, that is a good thing.
Ah, sorry for the rant. I just love my hair, I get lots of compliments and I really do owe it to Catherine of Catherines Salon. She will ship the shampoos etc and she is the best price for the hair treatments around....$300 plus in Beverly Hills...vs. $50 at Catherines in Virginia (her mom was a model for GM and she does it as a side business because she loves hair-hers is gorgeous-and she is the exception when it comes to who is licensed to give the treatments and sell the products). She doesn't do it to milk people out of money and i will love her forever because of it. I moved away, but want to visit to see her again (just don't tell my family).
I guess thats enough about my favorite beauty secret....gorgeous hair...oh, and I have been using EMU oil after the Neutragena Home Microdermabrasion kit. WOW! Thanks VeeN for the EMU suggestion. I'll never be without that now either. Have a great day ladies!! |

Hi TooInvolved,
Sorry I took so long to respond. I forgot I posted this. I have been using the Emu oil to help sooth my skin after the microdermabrasion. I love it, but I am finding that I can't use it all the time during my normal routine as my skin gets a bit too oily. I didn't have the problem when I use the MD, but during my normal routine. I'm new to using emu oil and I still love it, but I'm using less of it than when I wrote this. The oil mouisutizers and allows the products you have on your skin to go a bit deeper. Never use it when you have makeup on. It can cause a reaction and breakouts. I've found that if my skin is very clean, the oil doesn't cause any breakouts. There are lots of threads on this topic if you run a search. Hope it helps. It is a nice product that I would never have tried if not for this forum. |
