I got this as a sample with my last fantastic box of goodies from EDS Thankyou lovelys
The colour is Medium nr 5, and it is a very light and sheer pink - sounds awful maybe but I have fallen in love with it! It's hard to describe. You can't see I've got powder on, it's very very sheer, and it gives my complexion a lovely finish. I've used it four days in a row now. No problems at all. Actually I've only had this and a little blush - and felt pretty . As it's so sheer it doesn't cover red scars much, but I think it does give me that extra lustre. You can't see it's on, but it makes me look better!
Hmmm I'm not too good at reviewing/explaining this... but I'm very happy with the product!
the colour example is nowhere close to what the actual colour is in reality - I'd rather say it's more similar to Fair nr 4's or Medium nr 1's colour example.

This is my first experience with mineral makeup. I've never used much foundation or powder in the past. I was useing Lancomes Photo-something or other foundation a while ago - but that clogged my pores terribly. A couple of months ago I got Mac Studio Fix Powder (Rosebuds raves sent me to the Mac counter) and I've been satisfied with it. The only thing is you have to be careful not to apply too much, it sort of makes my smile wrinkles under my eyes look dry and more visible... |

Mmmm.... I've been tempted by this. It sounds really nice. Does your face feel dry at all once you've applied this? |

Nope...no dryness what so ever.
Edited to say:
Seems like TrueCosmetics only is available in the States, according to their own website - and EDS states they only sell to the US.
I must be the victim of a lucky for me mistake receiving this. |

I have the pressed powder in Fair #1 and I absolutely adore this--especially for Summer! It looks so natural, yet gives great coverage! I dab a little of the powder on a concealer brush and it camoflauges the "little red bits' perfectly. I am also loving the True concealer in Fair and I can't wait to try more of this line. The quality is superb! There is no strange fragrance to contend with and I love the packaging as well. My 5-star recommendation! |

I am really interested in the True cosmetics mineral powder. But I don't know how to choose the color.
I have been using Jane Iredale pressed power warm silk for some time. I almost finished it and really want to give this a try. Can anyone give me some suggestion on how to choose the color corresponding to JI warm silk (yellow tone) from true cosmetics? Thanks. |

FINALLY, someone else here has tried TRUE. I am a HUGE fan of this line. Read my other posts. Thank you for sharing. I am telling everyone, TRUE is like NO OTHER mineral makeup out there. You control the coverage and YOU DO NOT feel like you are wearing makeup. Try it, for your own good. |

Must resist, must resist, must resist......
Weakening, weakening, weakening.......
AAAHHGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!
I've been waiting to see more reviews of this line. Dang that they're all so wonderful. I feel an EDS order coming on.
Can someone tell me if this has bismuth oxychloride in it? I loved Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup, but couldn't use it b/c of it. Found a great HG in Aromaleigh, but I love trying new minerals....
Thanks!

Hi
NO bismuth oxychloride or mica. That is why I love this product so much!!! Others have these in them, which irriate my hives and acne. Please trust me when I say, great coverage-you determine. Keeps control of my oily skin (I only find if it is hot outside, then I respray my face with TRUE mineral spray)..it takes the shine away and makes my skin look matte. My suggestion is to go to a spa/salon that can apply TRUE for you. That way you have the right color for your skin. It is WELL worth it. And the price, is just right too. The compact lasts me about 3 months and at $40us($13.00) a month- That is not bad. |

You must try the 3-color concealer as well! I use the concealer in fair. I use the pinkest shade on my brow bone...the darkest shade under my eyes, and the lightest shade around my nose! It's so perfect! It's applies like a dream--seems to have beneficial qualities as well. It's my HG concealer! I used to use the Erno Laszlo concealer (which is nice, too)--but this one is fantastic! |

Can anyone do a comparison between the pressed and the loose True powders? I have a sample of the loose which I really like, but I'd like to order it in pressed form for the convenience of carrying it around. Is it like Jane Iredale in that the colors are lighter in the pressed vs. the loose, or are they the same shade no matter what the formulation? Also, is one more for dry skin vs. oily skin? What about how matte or shiny they look - any difference there? |

Hi
I have both. If you order them in the same colors, they are truly the same color. What I like about the loose powder, is I will dust my face with the loose powder, after I have applied the compact powder. I do a mist spray over both, to add a finishing touch. If you had to pick, I would say the compact powder for ease of carrying, and for coverage. The loose powder covers, it is just wasteful. |

Berquis -- thank you so much for the info! Now I have no excuse not to order the compact. |

Hope you are welcome. Remember color is the most important thing (in any make up of course). |

bergquis,
Still after all of these weeks since we corresponded, I'm trying to get someone to help me choose a matching color. Living out of the U.S., I don't have the opportunity to have it applied in person.
I've emailed them but haven't heard back yet...but I'm so interested in placing an order. Maybe you know of someone who will help me in selecting a color, just by oral description?
Your raves pretty much sold me on this quite a while ago...am really wanting to get this ordered!! |

I can send you a color chart. Probably hard from looking at it on a computer. Maybe I can help narrow it down. Can you give me some details on your skin color? |

I’m interested in trying this myself, but I’m also concerned about finding the correct shade. I currently wear JI pressed powder in Warm Silk and Amber (I mix the two), so it sounds like I need the same shade that Rachel is looking for:

If it helps you get an idea of my skin color, when I used to use BE foundation, it was Medium #3 which worked best for me even though I am very fair (on the warm side, my mom calls it “peaches and cream” complexion).
Also, can anyone tell me if it’s truly (ha! no pun) necessary to use the “Transforming Mineral Mist:”
This is the necessary finishing step to transform TRUE Mineral Makeup into the ideal finish, making it instantly one with skin.
As previously reported by me ad nauseam, my skin produces enough “moisture” of it’s own in the form of sebum so I don’t really need to add anything to it. Even the JI D20 spritz became superfluous to me after a couple of uses....
TIA!
