I'm just waiting to figure out the best way to get it down here. We're flying up to Florida next month so if it can be folded up and packed into a duffel I may bring one back with me. |
i think they can kind of be rolled, but you'll need a mighty long duffel!
i'm trying to convince my BF that we need one of those toppers and was going to do the same thing when i went to the states. unfortunately, we have one of those weirdly sized ikea beds.... i just bought him a pillow, hoping to help his neck pain (please please please). i plan on getting my own out of storage as i really miss it. they take some getting used to, but they really do work IMO!
unfortunately, i still haven't been able to part with my 37 year old security pillow. don't think i ever will.... did not take it to paris though -- it's just too gross! |

Darn it, that's what I was afraid of. I guess I'll have to wait until November when we may be taking the boat up to Fort Lauderdale. I'm already making a huge list of things to get while we're there.
Maybe you just need a new cover for your sad old security pillow to make it look nice. I just bought some nice zippered antimicrobial pillow protectors for all the pillows on the boat. Some of them were looking wretched with all the yellow drool stains. Yuck. We'll replace them all in Florida but for now they look nice and new.[/quote] |

I think it is a personal thing - You have to try it out first! I used to sell mattresses and had quite a few customers come in to replace their foam mattresses. They loved them in the store, but after getting it home they hated the mold to your body feature. One really big guy complained that conform to your body isn't necessarily always a good thing! It could have been the s ex issue..lol.
Has anyone else had the issue with pillows getting hard? I got my mom a pillow, but for some reason after a few months the thing became like a rock!
You can get a good supportive pillow top for the same or even less than the cost of a foam so you might want to check them out. |

I bought a twin size memory foam topper from Bed Bath and Beyond. That way, my husband can have his hard as a rock mattress and I can have softness without it looking obvious on the bed. I'm a small person so the 1 1/2 " was fine for me. I don't need a 3 inch topper. It softens up after a week or so and even that size is really comfortable. |

I recently got the Rx Pedic Memory Foam Mattress Pad from the Shopping Channel and absolutely loved it. The price was pretty reasonable too. |
