Liz,
It is a really great product and does help so many things. If you have a large calcium buildup in your body, it may take a little time before you really start to see any benefits. You may take it for a while and feel like it's not doing anything for you, then stop taking it and then you realize it was helping certain things but you don't notice till you stop.
Definately post back though with whatever results you have even if it's none. I do hope it helps you as it did me. |

If you're up for a long hot bath, a cup of epsom salts, a cup (or half cup) of apple cider vinegar, and a few drops of lavender essential oil will work wonders. Very calming, soothing, detoxing.
The most important thing is to get out of the tub, towel off, put on your pajamas, and get right in bed. You will be tired from the heat and relaxed from it all, and you want to get to bed as soon as possible, so rinse your face before you get out of the tub, brush your teeth before you get in the tub, have your pajamas all ready... you get the picture.
Or, I could send you a really boring legal text. I guarantee it will have you out like a light in no time! |

I am dealing with the school thing too..balancing a bio class with chemistry along with english. I try my best to even out my studying time to relieve stress, and get my full 8 hours of sleep in. If i don't, i find it hard to concentrate on my subjects, and the boyfriend hates when im too tired to be fun around him. Baths definitely help too, and working out is always a good release as well. |

+1 for school related stress with the 20 credit hrs I have. Especially an online accounting class right now where the lowest you can get is a 77 out of 100 on anything. Any less, you fail . A long hot bath is a great way to de- stess, works for me. I havn't tried writing things down, primarily because I will get out of bed at 3am and do what I am obsessing about (if its within reach ofcourse). This is a horrible habit. I need to start sleeping with a pen and paper . I have noticed that lately I cannot fall asleep whatsoever. come 4am, I am only begining to doze off. Working out is always a great outlet. However, it doesn't always tire me out. Sometimes it just revs me up to do more and more activities. Also, as some one had already mentioned, falling asleep with an infomercial on with the sound muted does knock me out pretty fast. However, I sometimes find myself listening to what the product is .
I'm sorry that I could not provide any additional ways to help you relax. However, I hope I did help in showing you that you're not alone. Hopefully, we all can get the rest we all need soon!!

Hello Girldelvov,
Thank you for your kind words, yes, it helps even by talking about it. Hope your exams will not be difficult for you! |

one more thing to add for those who can't seem to shut off their brains and have some money to burn (read: very expensive). there's this device called Resperate (http://www.resperate.com/) which brings you breath rate down to below ten breaths per minute. it's like a tone-guided meditation deep-breathing device. i got it for my blood pressure, but found it is nothing short of miraculous used before bed. i really concentrate on my belly breathing and try to get down as low as i can (so far 3.5 breaths per minute without straining) and it seriously seems to wipe my mind clean. |

relaxtion .... I find taking a bath helps. I like to use sage extract (Dr Hauschka).
A few years back, I used to have problems sleeping and the doctor gave me an exercise - one to try to slow down my brain so I could fall asleep - count slowly to 5, taking big deep breaths and listening for all the noises you can hear (cars, dripping, people talking, horns, birds). Once you reach 5, start counting backwards, again listening to the noises. Do this over until you've recognized the noises in your area (takes about 5-10 times, of course, depending on where you live). I think this was to help recognize what was around me and help me become more comfortable with my surroundings. It was pretty useful.
It's all about training your body to feel something. Personally, regardless how stressed I feel, the moment I lie on a massage table, I am instantly relaxed (mentally). |

I just wanted to remind people to be just as careful with herbs as you would regular medicine. I almost started taking St. John's wort a few years ago, but found out it can make birth control less effective. Just a thought!
Also, I was taught a breathing exercise that helps. The main point is that you use your diaphragm (your belly should expand when you breathe in instead of your chest). You breathe in for 4 counts, hold it 4 counts, then exhale for 4 counts, all very evenly and slowly. It really makes you relax and sink into the bed!
I have dealt with insomnia all my life and it totally sucks. I hope you are able to sleep better soon! |
