This set includes Power Peel Pads,Firming Anti-wrinkle Booster, Extra Clear Booster, Brightening Booster and
Post-Peel Restorer.
At CAD 97, it seems expensive, but concidering that you get 20 minifacials out of this kit at CAD 4.85 each, it´s quite a bargain.
On clean skin, you swipe the power peel pad, containing 20% glycolic compound, over face and neck. Then, you follow with the appropriate booster in areas they´re needed, or layer them all over the face. I´ve used the brightening booster all over, the clearing booster in my t-zone and the anti wrinkle booster on my forehead. Then you apply the post peel restorer, to finish it all off.
I´ve had a series of salon MD Formulations treatments done earlier, and I have to say that these minifacials give me nearly the same results. Some mini scars completely disappeared afer one use.
I used the entire MD Formulations line earlier, before I switched to PSF. I would not recommend that you use this kit without having tried glycolics before. For salon glycolic treatments, beauticians recommend that you use a glycolic product, for example MD Formulations Facial Lotion, for at least two weeks prior to treatment.
That being said, this is a great product that I´ll repurchase. |

Have been eyeing that kit myself. OK so what are the results? Excuse the silly question but as it's a 'peel', your skin doesn't actually peel afterwards does it?
Would it be OK on sensitive skin? |

I don´t think it would be the best idea on sensitive skin, though "sensitive" is defferent from person to person. Have you tried glycolics or AHAs before?
(No, the skin does not peel off.) |

No I haven't tried glycolics or AHA's before. So maybe it wouldn't be a good idea for me? |

I´d try MD formulations facial lotion or facial cream first, to see if it´s too strong for your skin. I would not recommend this kit as a first glycolic product.
Maybe someone else has suggestions? |

Ive just order the MD Skincare Alpha-Beta Peel. It contain differents AHA and some BHA as well so its appropriate for oily skin because BHA is the only acid that can go through the pore. BHA come from aspirin too so it could be a milder peel for somebody that want to try. I sould get my package soon... I will tell you what I think about it !!! |

Well, now that this thread is resurrected, I can update on my MD Formulations situation.
I no longer use any of the products, due to some rather heavy ingredient allergies that appeared "out of nowhere". I´m not blaming MDF, but I was unable to continue using it.
On a side note, I´ve had much better results with oils an EOs, which I for some reason have no problems with.
Hope you enjoy your stuff Katya! |

I honestly don´t think it had anything to do with the peel, I´ve had professional peels before with good results. I think my skin just didn´t like the acids anymore.
Nowadays, I only use mineral makeup (can´t do talc anymore, and a lot of other stuff in commercial brands), I don´t cleanse , I only use a toner and oils. I´ve had great success with rosehip, evening primrose and raspberry seed. I usually add lavender, chamomile, immortelle and sea buckthorn. For toner, I use immortelle hydrosol, or orange blossom hydrosol.
I hope you have great results with your peel! |
