Hello everyone,
I am new here although I have been been reading the forums for a while. I think this is a great board and I hope I can usefully contribute to it.
Anyway I will tell you a little about my own skin issue's.
I am 29 and due to turn 30 in a few months ...yikes, and I am just hoping to refine my skin a bit before then. so I can face my next decade with confidence.
My skin type is a greasy t-zone with dry cheeks. My skin is very pale but still a little sallow, what I wouldn't do for a creamy skin tone!
I am lucky in that I have never sunbathed and don't smoke or drink but I have always had a totally criminal sweet tooth which I feel has damaged my skin through glycation which I have only recently heard about, I am not sure if this is reversable at all though.
My main concerns are blackheads, blocked pores and open pores around my T-zone. I did perviously have quite bad acne (little scaring thankfully) but that has cleared up with antibiotic use. Fine lines and the beginnings of crows feet around my eyes (seems like everyone is fighting this one). Another issue for me is that I seem to be a little prone to skin growths eg. moles, sebaceous hyperplasia (enlarged sebaceous glands), and I have a few syringoma under my eyes (small fleshy lumps). I did see a derm about these but they refused to do anything to help me with them on the nhs (I'm in the uk).
As for skin care I stay away from soap (I use a soap free cleanser by ren) and use sun screen daily as well as CP serum and sporadically Dr Hauschka products which I think are great although I should get into more of a routine with them.
That is quite enough from me for now. I am going to see a homeopathist about my skin in a couple of days so I will post about that if people are interested.
Anyway thanks for reading!

Welcome Bella.
I have very similar skin concerns as yours - oily T-zone and blackheads. Thanks for sharing your experiences and looking forward to hearing about your followup with your homeopathist. |

Hi Belladonna, I'm also in the UK, and although I'm quite a bit older than you (just turned 54) I also have very similar issues, so will welcome any feedback you can give. Look forward to seeing your posts! |

Thank you everyone for making me feel so welcome! I will be sure to post back after my visit to the homeopath later in the week. I have heard very good things about this form of treatment but I guess I won't know for sure until I try it for myself, so watch this space! |

Welcome to the forum Bella!
I read with interest your issues with syringoma as I have the same problem. I am much older than you but I have had them since my early thirties. I have recently tried a product from the following web site:
www.wartmolevanish.com
It is quite expensive and seems to be similar to the TCA cross method. I tried it on three bumps on my lower eyelid area. It frosted, scabbed and is still red but the three syringnomas have gone. I am waiting to see if there will be any scarring but they seem to be healing nicely. However I think I will try the TCA cross the next time as it is much cheaper. Looking for ward to the results of your visit to the homeopathic practitioner.
Regards
Zaney |
