Goodness gracious me i'm addicted to NARS!! So The Bay at downtown Vancouver was having this promotion: spend $100 and get a makeup bag, compact mirror, nail file and eye cream samples, so I had to splurge. I was looking for loose powder ever since i ran out of my beloved Jurlique lavender silk dusk and I bought NARS loose powder in Beach and the sparkling loose powder in Gold Rush. Gold Rush is the equivalent to Beach except with sparkles (great for New Year's Eve!!)...and they are divine!!! I love my Jurlique silk dust, but I think Nars is becoming my favourite, because Beach is a dead on match with my skin tone (medium, yellow-tone), and never looks cakey, but I get a white cast with Jurlique if i'm a bit too heavy-handed. Nars loose powder has gotten great reviews on MUA and I can attest to every one of those raves. The powder comes Nars' signature black leather case and is very finely milled. It soaks up oil so well leaving me with a picture perfect matte complexion all day. The sparkling loose powder is soooo pretty...the glitter is sooo fine, it gives a radiant, glowing finish as opposed to disco ball. I also bought the Ondine eyeshadow. It was love at first sight...soo pretty in the pan, and great on my lids. It's a complex color, a blend of plum, brown, and taupe with gold shimmer. Lasting power is as good as MAC, and goes great with a smokey eye. 
What can I say...I love NARS!!! |
