I was having one of those old wrinkled tired skin days this morning. You know the ones when even after you have done your usual routine and put your makeup on you still wish you had gotten the number of that bus. I mixed SKB and beta oat glucan liquid (50/50) and slathered that all over my face and neck. I let this soak in for a few minutes and then put avocado oil on and then spritzed with rose hydrosol. Within 15 minutes my skin looked so hydrated, fresh and rested it amazed me.

Just for clarification, Markey at Garden of Wisdom now has the liquid oat beta glucans back in stock and this is reflected on her site.

Salli--i haven't tried the SKB plus liquid BG mixed 50/50 and applied directly on my face but your routine sounds awesome. I am using seamollient in place of SKB though.

Kristen!

Kristen, NCN Skincare has SKB VERY reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.

Hi salli,

i am using seamollient now, and honestly, i can't tell the difference between the two! NCN has the SKB at a nice price but seamollient is still a bit cheaper.

avalange--i remember reading about the seamollient/skb forming a barrier possibly impeding the absorption of other actives as well.

i used to use seamollient or skb (they are the same to me) mixed with a little carrier oil and applied on top of my serums and moisturizers. i have also used it mixed in my palm with my moisturizer too.

however, i read somewhere else that the seamollient makes an excellent base to deliver actives into the skin. GoW makes many serums using seamollient as a base so i am a bit divided on which is method would be more beneficial. either way, i think you're right, you're getting benefits however you use the skb/seamollient. i would just make sure to dilute the skb/seamollient and not apply it neat unless you're doing a mask as salli shared with us.

Kristen~
