I really like Dr. Hauschka's cover stick. It's the only one I've ever used that actually promoted healing as it camouflaged.

I second Bobbi Brown.

I like her foundation stick.

It is great on pimples in a pinch.

I like it better than 'concealers' as the color is a better match and the texture isn't too thick or hard to, well, conceal! I hate products that lay on a zit and the edges are hard to blend into my skin.

The foundation stick is thicker, but just right for touch ups. When I worked in an office I always carried one in my purse.

I should mention it doesn't promote healing so much as I found it doesn't make it worse. I have had to live with acne for years. There are times when I just had to deal with a break out and I found more confidence knowing people weren't just staring at the third head on my chin/neck/nose etc because of a good concealer. You can't hide zits so much as make them less noticable. I just had so much experience trying to hide them with concealers with Benz. Peroxide that never matched correctly (pink tones look awful on me) and just irritated my skin and made the problem area SO obvious. You know, dried skin/flakies, red skin, or even best - a little zit transforms into a honkin' Volcano mysteriously by the end of the day. You can always tell because people talking to you will continue to glance at it thru out your conversation. By this point, you know whats happening and can't wait to run to the bathroom and go all Mt St Helens on it, but you stop and worry. Kill it and risk making it worse or slather on more of the pink toned concealer that fools no one. Ok, you kill it. Try to wash it, but still end up putting the concealer back on the red puffy skin which just goes in a vicious cycle by becoming infected once you are home. Those couple hours trying to maintain eye contact with your co-workers just put you back on square one.

WOW! Talk about a Rant. Oops! My point was: The Bobbi Brown line has started me on a road to better things.

I found with better home care my make up needs changed. I currently use OCM,DHCC, EMU oil (nite) and jojoba oil (day) along with Dr. H Rejev. Mask. I also do my aspirin mask about 1-2 a week (based on time avail).

My skin has improved dramatically since I joined this forum. I have switched to tinted moisturizer (BB) but I'm trying to switch to JI minerals. I actually like a lite dusting of JI over me BB moisturizer. I will switch once BB runs out. I still break out occassionally, but I've become an expert at hiding them. BB stick is part of it. When I need it, I use it on spots and its perfect. Those products don't inflame my skin at all.(Thank goodness!)

When you aren't in public...have you tried using toothpaste to dry those suckers out? There is a EDS thread about it..it works!

Hope that helped a little

Shanno, I liked this but I found that it got rotten/rancid/funky smelling almost immediately. Anyone else have this experience? I thought with the high tea tree oil content this wouldn't happen!
