Im am cursed with an itchy scalp that will severely flair up around the hair line into large scabs that flake/itch like crazy and turn a very unflattering shade of red. Sexy huh? It happens several times a year and NOTHING will make it go away. Warm Jojoba oil treatments were my only hope to bring a certain amount of relief but even then the break was short lived. They were also time consuming and messy. I had been eyeing Organix Thera Neem Shampoo for a while now and after my latest -not to mention worst!- flair up I broke down and bought the shampoo and conditioner.
Im so glad I did! This combo has eliminated any and all flakes, soothed my scalp and left my hair shiny. I have been using them for about three weeks now but it only took about three washes for my scalp to return to normal. Highly recommended for those with sensitive scalp.
I paid about $12USD + tax for 12 oz for both.
Shampoo Pros:
-Cleans even the dirtiest of hair to a squeaky clean state.
-Soothes and heals the scalp.
-Leaves hair very manageable and shiny.
Cons:
-Does not have the most pleasant scent, not horrid but slightly like a house cleaner, however, it does not linger.
-For best results you need to leave the lather on your hair and scalp for 3-5 mins. Maybe a PITA for people who take military slap and dash type showers. Worth the extra time IMO.
-Watery texture that some may find difficult to use in the shower.
Conditioner Pros:
-Really moisturizes and makes hair soft.
-Does not build up.
-Rinses totally clean.
Cons:
-Has a slightly weird smell too, thankfully the company had the foresight to add a light coconut fragrance to it so after rinsing thats all you can smell.
-Needs to be left on for 3-5 mins as well.
Ingredients on both can be found here. |
