Ok I have read it all, but what really works for everyone that has undereye puffiness? I was thinking of ordering PSF cranberry eye gel but before I place yet another order for a product out there I as hoping to get feedback.
I have used prevage (good but a bit $$$), Obagi Elastiderm (not too impressed), Philosophy, the list goes on and on...... |
I am the queen of under-eye puffiness. My issue is fat deposits. No topical can get rid of ones fat deposits. If such a product comes out the manufacturer will make a fortune.
I use a few products to help keep the bags firm. If just left alone over time the under eye area will lose elasticity and sag.
PSF Cranberry Eye Gel is a wonderful product for temporarily firming the area. The ingredients in the gel over time will be beneficial to your eye area. Know that PSF Gel is not moisturizing. I suggest you also use a moisturizer of your liking on top of the gel.
If your puffies are not fat deposits you will have better results from a topical. Either way, puffiness should be handled. Currently I am starting a facial exercise program. I am not expecting it to get rid of the fat deposits but firm and make the eye area look better. Will let you know how it works. |

For undereye puffiness, I've heard people using the Oxylight or Dermawand have gotten good results.
Also, Scotslass posted a great drainage massage technique:

Take your index or ring fingers and press them on either side of your nose between your eyes. Gently rub this area by slowly rotating the tips of your fingers around and around in tiny circles. Move down your nose slowly along your sinus passage while paying attention for any slight pressure. Take care and you will definitely notice it! Work you way down in a C pattern across the top of your cheeks and out toward the edge of your face. This is where your sinus passages are and what you are doing is basically massaging them so that any pressure is released.
Next, take your ring and middle fingers and tap gently all over the puffy areas (all around your eyes to further stimulate the lymph nodes). Finish it all up with a cool splash of water!!! |
On the current dry brushing thread, they also are talking about how to handle the undereye area:

I would think any facial brushing would help with lymph drainage - even if you didn't work on the fragile undereye area.... |

A combination of stress, lack of sleep, not enough water and too much caffeine have all conspired to make my problem much worse in the last few months. HOWEVER!!! I must report that I have had significant results in the last two weeks with the regime I posted towards the beginning of this thread.
Although I have stepped up my efforts in several areas, I believe the eye exercises to be the most beneficial. I had done a combination of all the other things before but am new to the eye exercises, and I have seen significant improvements like never before. I'm so relieved. I had feared that this area had suddenly aged and that there was no going back, but mercifully I've managed to stall it for a little while longer.
I would highly recommend eye exercises. |
