After reading the many review of this ylang ylang oil, I immediately ordered it. How can so many people be wrong?! At 36, I have struggled with blackheads on my nose all my life, using any product I could find, mostly with few or no results. When I was younger, I used the Proactive formula, which helped control the blackheads, but ultimately began to really dry out my skin. I must say, I LOVE this ylang ylang!!!! I also made my friend try it, and she also has had quick and dramatic results. My nose area is much cleaner and clearer. I still have issues with enlarged pores after so many years, but I can see that I those nasty blackheads themselves are virtually gone. The product itself will last a long time. After a couple of weeks of daily use, I needed to reduce the number of applications per week to two or three, as it can, surprisingly for oil, dry out your skin. Thanks Decleor! |

i have always wondered about this one. have never tried it. is it good even if your skin oily is it still good or does it make it too oily? |
I've tried the Dr. Hauschka's normalizing oil and the Decleor Ylang Ylang oil. I had to stop using the Dr. Hauschka because the oil made my skin too dry! The Decleor made my skin less oily without drying it out. |

the balm has a drip feed mechanism which works over 8-12 hours. the skin regenerates while it is relaxed i.e during sleep which, this is why you should use it at night and not in the day. if you find your skin feels oily and your pores are becoming blocked with this product then this is because you are using too much. use only a grain of rice size (which is why it lasts 6 months) and in the morning your skin should have soaked it all up.
there are different essential oils in each of the balms and so each has a different property.
the oily balm (ylang ylang) has tea tree which is antibactericidal and astringent (pore tightening), the ylang ylang purifies and balances the skin and jojoba is very compatible with the skins sebum.
the ylang ylang balm has a lighter texture than the other balms.
also because of the skins cycle which takes 28 days you would want to use this product for that length of time at least to allow it to work effectively.
hope this helps
