Am I able to use the leaf and rusher active serum on the face as well as the eye area? (I do have some mild frownies) and I imagine having retinol in it (which I have not used before) I would need to gradually build up to using it regularly? |
Hi sal-star,
Yes, the Leaf & Rusher Active Serum is meant for the whole face. I just meant I am able to tolerate it around the eye area as well and it has helped the most to diminish my "crow's feet", ll lines, and forehead creases.
The regular Active Serum is 2% retinol and 2% ester C. The one for sensitive skin is 1% retinol and 1% ester C.
I find the regular Active Serum very gentle and, in my opinion, you should be fine with it unless you have extremely sensitive skin.
Just do follow the directions as the protocol helps your skin build up a tolerance for the actives.

To ensure maximum synergy with the skin, increase usage as follows:
Week 1: Use every other evening
Week 2: Use every evening
Week 3: Use morning and evening
*Pump a dime-sized amount into the hand then smooth on cleansed and toned face, neck, and décolleté. Active Serum may be used around the eye area, but avoid direct eye contact. |

Q-I have been using the Leaf & Rusher® products for a week and I noticed a few pimples have popped up. Should I be concerned and should I change how I use the products?
A-Retinol is active on the skin and can unfortunately cause minor acne outbreaks in the first few weeks of usage. If such an outbreak occurs, discontinue usage of the Active Serum/Active Serum for Sensitive Skin in the immediate area of the pimple for the short time the eruption is visible and introduce a scrub cloth during your wash in order to increase exfoliation of the area of conjested/erupting pores. After approximately one week without treatment, slowly begin using Serum and Tx™ Formula over site by using twice a week the first week, building up one day per week gradually thereafter. |
Hope this helps |
