Hi all,

I'm not sure if someone else has mentioned this technique before. But I found out about deep breathing technique online a while ago for my mom's health issue. My mom who is bed-ridden and can't doing any forms of exercises in the bed. I convinced she to try deep breathing for a few month. Amazing it helps her to reduce her huge tummy in a short period of time as well as relieve her sinus problems. Her quality of sleep also gets better which certainly makes the skin look great! From my own experience, I think my quality of sleep has also improved as a result and I will love to reduce some inches from my tummy as well.

Ok, there 3 different forms of breathing techniques I found very useful and easy to learn. READY?

2.Here is a description of the basic breath technique:

* Lean forward slightly and rest your hands on a tabletop or the back of a chair. This position lets you tighten the abdomen far harder. The original Body Flex has you put your hands on your knees like a baseball catcher, but I find the hands-on-table position easier and more comfortable.

* Purse your lips and exhale, blowing out all your air. When you think your lungs are empty, blow a little more! The technique depends on really emptying your lungs.

* Inhale sharply through your nose. Try to take in all the air in the room in one breath!

* Fold your lips and explosively exhale, making a sound like "PAH!" Empty your lungs completely.

* With your lungs empty, close the back of your throat so no air can get in. Now use the vacuum you have created in your torso to suck your abdomen in and up as hard as you can. After you've done this every day for a week or two, you will be dazzled by just how hard you can contract your abdominal muscles! Hold this for about eight seconds -- just until the urge to breathe is hitting you. Open your throat and let the air flow in naturally.

That's one basic breath. From here, you start again with pursing your lips and blowing.

3. ~COPIED FROM THE OTHER FORUM~
origionally posted by "Rosemom"

The "Skipped Breath" is a technique used to help jumpstart losses for those not seeing results with the "BF" breath. Anyone can use it, but since I provided my routine free, I would say, if you have purchased another program on the market and it has been working for you then only use this one to break your plateau, because you will reach one.

Exhale the stale air
Deeply inhale through your nose
Hold for a count of 5
Pah
Tuck tummy as tight as you can
Exercise position
Hold for a count of 8 to 10

This is where it differs from "BF". Instead of the last inhale through your mouth, which is better known as a "gasp", you will release the position and deeply inhale through your nose to start your next rep in the set. The only time you will inhale/gasp is at the end of a set when you are changing to a completely different position. You will also notice during the set that you don't do the first exhale during the routine. You will do it to start a new position set, but not within a set. So let's try it again.

Exhale the stale air
Deep inhale through your nose
Hold for a count of 5
Pah
Tuck tummy as tight as you can
Exercise position
Hold for a count of 8 to 10

Release the position as you are doing the next breath.

Deeply inhale through your nose
Hold for a count of 5
Pah
Tuck tummy as tight as you can
Exercise position
Hold for a count of 8 to 10

Hope those would had experience with the breathing technique chime in and tell us how it works or you as
well.
