Laser is combined with traditional and it just makes it easier for the dr. Unfortunately some dr's try to make it seem like its super easy for you but its still the same trauma for your body. From what I have read recovery is the same.
I'm a little surprised they let you shower the next day. Most dr's don't want you remove your garment for atleast 3 days. I would leave the garment on as much as possible. Your itching is normal, its part of healing.
