Before I explain what I'm looking for, I just want to say that I am not trying to replace diet and exercise. I am in reasonably good shape, more active than most, and eat well. I am less than 5 pounds overweight, if any at 5'7 and 125 lbs. What I am, is lumpy.
I have cellulite.
As bad as it gets for someone my size. I have always had it. Now that I've turned 30, I now have some awesome saddlebags and a less defined stomach to match. Where there used to be definition, now a strange doughy layer of skin is stretched over it. Nothing drastic, just enough for me to hit the realization my body is changing, and not for the better.
What I am looking for is assistance with localized fat melting. The Tripollar Pose, the GForm, Wellbox (out of my budget but you get the idea). Any favorites? Does the GForm really work?? I know there are mixed reviews on the Pose. (PQ, I hope you read this post because your recommendations and detailed input are so very helpful, and I know you've tried some of these to perfect your body). Any information would be appreciated, especially what's a waste of money and time. |
Hi Ava with Wings,
I have tried most things to manage localised fat, and my advice is:
If you need to lose weight none of the machines do that for you, as we all know this is a combination of diet and exercise, but the following works for me:
GForm - or electrolipolysis, does work on areas where you need to lose stubborn small areas of fat, this is more a sculpting process rather than losing pounds of weight, if you used the GFORM every other day for a month you will see a difference, the key is to do some intense exercise afterwards or use a vibration plate, this is to burn up the fat that has been released into the lymphatic system, or use the lymphatic drainage program on the GFORM, do not drink alcohol or fizzy drinks whilst trying to use the GForm as this stops the machine working.
POSE - I have found that this really works to tighten an area that has some laxity and a very small amount of fat to burn, you need to really work at this with the POSE, the results are very slow but I am delighted with the results, it is expensive as the gel is £50.00 / tube.
Wellbox - did nothing for me at all, but it is good on the face to stimulate circulation and stimulate the lymphatic systems, especially if you are prone to dark circles and bags, I have found the wellbox does nothing for lifting the face or reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
I think the Wellbox can be used in conjunction with the GForm to stimulate the lymphatic system, but I prefer to do 30 minutes vibration plate which works for me.
Hope this helps.

So great to see you posting PQ...really miss you I am interested in the vibration plate...have heard it is good for bone loss. Any brands you recommend??? What about cost....I realize you are in the UK and products might be different here in the US. |
Hi Toby, really miss you too darling xx - I bought the cheapest one off Amazon.co.uk - £250.00 - and it does the job, I agree with Keliu that it doesn't burn fat, but it does tone, and quickly, if you are in a hurry, the key to avoid spinal injury is to make sure you bend you knees when on the plate. I would search Amazon.com. A friend of mine who is a nurse swears by these plates to give general toning for people who are short of time or who are unable to do any other type of toning exercise.
