About a month ago I emailed Nanci asking her if she had a product to lighten the skin above my mouth area. I have a slight pigmentation that seems hormone related....had it for years. Any way she sent me something to try(Spot remover 555) and also included a generous sample of her new DNA product Serum (Renovage/Trepenone) I wasn't following new DNA products on the market because of price.... but, thought why not give it a whirl. I had remembered Nanci saying she was testing this new product out in her last newsletter. Well I have been using it for about a month and I am really impressed with what I am seeing. If you follow my postings you know I have suffered with problems with my under eye area. Easy Eye solutions has been a wonderful product to camouflaged my problems and has to an extent done some long term improvement. But, I have really wanted to be able to get to the root of the problem and get some permanent change. After a month of using this product I am noticing the under eye area lifting and plumping up and the crepiness really disappearing. My skin didn't respond well to cps I used three years ago and I have been searching for something to restore my skin....this DNA product is without a doubt doing that. I have emailed Nanci numerous times asking the cost….hated to fall in love with something that I couldn't afford. She has been so busy that she has just now got the pricing figured and launched the product…..price is right too! This product is for the entire face, neck, etc…but the difference it is making on my under eye area is shocking. I will still be using Ageless Secret Diamond and Easy Eye Solutions (for eye bags) and the new addition will be Nanci’s DNA formula. I do hope others with similar issues as I have will try and share results. This is the link for the product.
Also there is a 10% discount for her newsletter peeps...it came out in a newsletter today!

Thanks for review Toby. I needed to order more of the quick fix for my under eye bags, so I added the serum to that order. Looking forward to trying it. |

After all that, I forgot to report on results of my boyfriend.
The skin under his eyes is very hydrated, cross hatching looks a lot better. This will take the place of his regular eye cream, (right now its a Peter Thomas Roth product that is very unremarkable in the results department despite having some powerhouse ingredients).
He refuses to take before and after pictures. Skin tone appears more even, not sure if its the color of the product or an actual result, its a little early to tell. |

I've been using the DNA Serum for about two months now and couldn't be more pleased. I no long need a moisturizer when I use it. Here are my results:
11's - almost gone
Crepiness around my eyes - gone
Eyelid firmness - significantly improved
Lines under my eyes - almost completely gone
Lip lines - almost completely gone
Deputy dog lines - improved (I thought this was impossible)
Skin texture and firmness - significantly improved and with a healthy glow
All of the above are what I have noticed after a very close examination WITH my reading glasses on!
I use this twice a day, except for 3 days a week when I use retin A at night. It will be a permanent item in my arsenal. |

I want to try this product but I read a kind of creepy review of Renovage by Paula Begoun (Cosmetics Cop) in Beautipedia. Renovage is in the product being discussed in this thread. For an provocative opinion see the review under Osmotics Renovage Cellular Eye Repair. Begoun and colleagues write "This silicone-enhanced, emollient eye cream's claims aren’t anything new, except for the claim of increasing the lifespan of cells. Doing so is not recommended for numerous reasons, with the most serious being overstimulation of cellular life span can lead to uncontrolled cell growth, which is the basic blueprint for cancer. Moreover, unless the cells in question can be repaired completely, you would be extending the lifespan of damaged cells, which can wreck further havoc on skin."
Just something to think about...I personally want to hold out for just a bit more research before jumping into this type of product. I will keep following this thread. |

Hi everyone! I'm chiming in..... first of all thanks to all of you who got the DNA Serum! I'm just thrilled that the majority of you are seeing results with it. Thank you for your feedback that you've emailed me directly too!
I have a tip for using it - cup your hand and push the treatment pump down only 1/2 way. However, if you're still having the same issue with it squirting, please PM me and I'll be more than happy to send you a disc top to replace the treatment pump.
Thanks again! Nanci |

Sister Sweets I wouldn't be concerned if you can't use the DNA in the morning. I'm content just using it at night. In the morning I use the EGF,Collagen Elestan, and regular cp accelerator. I use to be the Queen of oil and the accelerator is fine. |

I have extremely sensitive, thin skin, I usually see minor results right off the bat with just about anything that is made with a good formula (if my skin doesn't freak out and get irritated). But those results don't last, they either don't get any better with long term use, or it just reverts back when I don't use it aggressively. |
In general, I'm confused about the results that people do see. I understand the difference of skin being too dry and how much better it can look when thoroughly hydrated from within and without. But I don't understand how skin can physically regenerate in a matter of days. We're told that results from the use of Retin-A can take up to a year to show. Even invasive treatments like IPLs, lasers or RF take between six months to a year to improve the skin.
Yes, there are certain actives that will stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin - but this also takes months. And on top of that you have to factor in age - as mature aged skin is losing collagen at a faster rate than young skin.
I definitely believe in using proven ingredients and using appropriate skincare gadgets. And from doing so, I think my skin looks allot better than many women my age. But I'm afraid I'm just not one of those people who squirts something on my face at night and wakes up the next morning to see a brand new me staring back! |

The short term results I tend to see are related to hydration and circulation (my main issues), not collagen building as this takes months. It doesn't regenerate, just looks pretty and luminous from a well made product. It looks just blah a lot otherwise. Hope this helps clarify. |

I have liked the way I look in 'other' mirrors more than the one in my personal bath at times but the personal mirror (the one I use everyday) is the barometer for me. It is the one that tells me the truth.
I am convinced that some skin is resistant to anything and I've seen this on EDS. Keliu has determined her skin to be resistant as well as Riley - outside of Obagi for Riley.
I've also seen skin that is responsive to many products and I have found some for myself. |
I'm actually not saying that my skin is resistant. I've said many times that I think I've brought about positive results to my skin from everything I've learnt on this Forum over the last four or five years.
What I'm saying is that our skin is a biological organ like any other in our bodies (the largest in fact). The only physical response it can have is dependant on the active ingredients which are applied to it - and, of course, to other factors like general health and nutrition and sun exposure. Physically, it is impossible to regenerate tissue over a matter of days - this is the point I'm making and any doctor will tell you the same thing. Ask a burns speciallist how long it takes to grow tissue in a lab. As Ava said above, short terms results can only be due to improved hydration - not to any building of collagen or elastin. |

I wanted to echo the view of Keliu that it would be unlikely for us see our skin get improved in a couple of days, even 1-2 week time.
What we see may be the temporary benefits of hydration. |

I'm glad I'm not the only one who never seems to see immediate and dramatic results from anything, unlike others (it seems). It's so frustrating!
I just selected this DNA serum as a sample in my latest NCN order but a sample probably won't be enough to tell me if I like it or not. At least I can see if I like the consistency and how my skin reacts to it (if it soaks in, breaks me out, etc).
Does anyone use this in conjunction with LED treatment (before or after)? |

Hey Sis, I use the tuck as the last step...serums, creams, sunblock, makeup and the very last thing the tuck.
I used to apply it with a small brush but have found applying with my middle finger in a patting motion to be more effective in warding off the white flakes. I only need help around my trough area so that is the only place I apply it and I use as little as possible, patting until it is no longer shiny/serumy in appearance. Then I just remain expressionless for 20-30 minutes making sure I don't move the under eye area until it sets in. There will typically be a sight white flakey residue around the outer edges of the tuck in which I just take a moistened q-tip and gently whisk them away. After that I am good to go!
I think the more natural appearance of the tuck with the DNA is due to there being more hydration under the eye area now whereas before the DNA the tuck tended to get a bit stiff in nature as the day progressed. |

Sis, I use the Easy Eye Solutions Tuck the same way as Bren21 does. The tuck is really natural looking over the DNA serum.
I have been using the DNA serum since July and the greatest benefit is the under eye hydration as Bren21 mentions and the plumper under eye look that I have. I think the rest of the face looks good with it but my main difference is what is going on in the under eye area. |

Well, I definitely find the DNA Serum helps with my dryness and my skin seems to retain moisture much better. I am not seeing any "cushioning" or "plumping" of any area.
I would love to hear from others who purchased the DNA Serum back in August what results or lack thereof you have had! |
Riley, I'm still using it but still haven't seen anything impresive. I started Nanci's
matrixil 3000 and did see a change with that. I will use the DNA up and not reorder, it's just not for me. |

For my money, nothing is better than a night cream with Renovage. Every time I buy a product without Renovage and expect similar results, it fails me. |
You might be interested in buying some of the raw Renovage, and you can add some to the products you were disappointed with..
Optimum concentration is 3% and it's oil soluble...

Hi, I am a newbie here but I have been reading this forum for a while and learning a lot. I use NCN 5-5-5 spot remover and I love it. I am a cystic acne sufferer. Not only has it lightened my acne marks, but also cleared my acne (I think due to the niacinamide). I use it all over my face. I also use Retin-A micro gel. Retin-A helps me a lot, but if I see a red spot coming up, Retin-A doesn't suppress it while the spot remover is wonderful. If I I spot treat the red spot a few times a day, it goes away, it suppresses my cystic acne. That said, I was considering to buy DNA from NCN. But I also read truthinaging, I don't know how many of you follow that site. But there was a heated discussion about Bioeffect EGF serum. Marta, the owner, loved it and recommended it, and then a sceientist doctor stepped in and said that it's harmful etc. You can find all that in the comments section if you are interested. So Marta and this doctor disagreed and she suggested to him to create a his own site where he would share his thoughts. And he did, it's called barefacedtruth. Anyway, to make the long story short, there he talks about DNA serum, that it's a drug ingredient and it's harmful. There's even a picture of NCN DNA serum. I was considering of buying EGF capsules and DNA serum from NCN before I saw this review, but I have to think twice. I know that Paula Begoun also warns about Teprenone. Sorry for my English, I am not a native speaker. |

Had a bit of a laugh when I read the following - sound familiar anyone?:

What is working for me this month? The correct answer would be whatever I put on my skin a few months ago.
Has anyone followed these beauty blogs (actually commerce sites that dispense deep science and medical advice without a doctor in sight) where they switch products each month and then tell you how well wrinkles are doing? And attribute their ups and down to the product of that month. Then sell it to you. I think they actually know better. The truth just doesn’t sell products.
In terms of skin science this is utter nonsense (non-science). Ingredients that affect real wrinkles at a structural level take many months. It’s a long process (we will soon do a post on wrinkle physiology). You won’t even start to see effects for 6-8 weeks. So, shouldn’t they be then selling the 3 months ago product, not the current one? That would make more sense. But I have found the world of anti-aging skin care to be anything but rational.

I for one get fed up of reading all of the overnight miracles that get reported on these forums.

Hello & Welcome!
Hi everyone and Happy Mother's Day to all Moms everywhere!
GHK-Cu CP Serum WITHOUT EGF is now available
You now have the choice of getting the GHK-Cu Copper Peptide Serum with or without EGF. I prefer it with the EGF in it and apparently you do too. BUT I did want to offer it to you without the EGF in it. So if you're not a fan of EGF (epidermal growth factor), click here to get the GHK-Cu Copper Pepide Serum without EGF.
CPAccelerator Renamed
Old name: CP Accelerator
New name: Multi-Active Accelerator
The name change applies to both the normal/dry and oily/acne formulas. If you don't remember the new name, you can do a search for CP Accelerator and the they will come up, just with the new names. |
Do you think all the forum feedback is having an effect? |
I think you can count on that Doc... Nanci has ALWAYS listened to her cutomer/clients, so of course I would expect nothing less from her, but to offer choices as well as guidance... She's a breath of fresh air Doc, honestly.
Way to go Nanc .... |
