I used to have very large pores on my nose and beside my nose. And while nothing has ever completely removed them, and there really isn't any way to do it, I have found some products that have helped with reducing their appearance.
I currently use Paula's choice BHA, Retin-A/Paula's choice Retinol serum, and Paula's Choice shine stopper. For the BHA, I had to stay consistent with its use for at least 5-6 months before I saw any significant improvement in the appearance of my pores. But once they showed improvement, it was quite the dramatic change. Retin-A also helped as well by normalizing the shape of the pore, but this was very drying for me, even at 0.025%, so I switched to the PC Retinol serum which appears to be much gentler, but still just as effective. It is able to maintain the results I got from using Retin-A, and I'm sure it will show even more improvement later on as I've only been using the serum for 1-2 weeks. And lastly, the shine stopper is a bit of a cosmetic add-on. It doesn't actively do anything to reduce the size of pores over time, but it does help conceal it by absorbing the oil that comes out of the pores. Sometimes, I think that oily skin can accentuate the pores since it's a hole that glistens pretty much. The shine stopper has helped tremendously with getting rid of this shine, which also helps with pore appearance.
I hope this didn't sound like a sponsored message for Paula's choice, but it really isn't. Her products are extraordinary and I am only willing to say that after being such a long-time customer. |
