I did not follow the exact plan that you have, so I have no idea if you are interested in hearing my experiences.
The end result was very positive!
My regime was different and very aggressive from the start. This is a very strong medical grade skin care products that you cannot take for granted and overuse. You must reapply your sun protection every hour, even if you are indoors and during the day it is very dark outside and raining.
You can also forget wearing your regular makeup and sometimes the foundation lift off your skin because of the aggressive peeling. You will get people you know asking what has happened to your skin, because it will look so awful before it get better. Get in the habit of wearing a large sun hat on daily basis and make sure you protect your skin in the winter.
My first two goals was to firm up my skin and then address the discoloured skin.
Back then, I started off with the normal to dry skin cleanser, scrub, ossential growth factor serum plus (amazing product ever!) at night and the ommerse renewal cream. All of it made my face go super red and eventually, major peeling, then go red again, then peel. The cycle never ended and took forever.
Then after two months I added the radical night serum and after a month of introducing that, I finished ommerse renewal cream and started brightenex (ZO Medical), then I started taking melamin. The redness and peeling continued. Also the burning.
Everybody noticed that my skin look firmer and the the dark patches faded. I was doing this all winter until I ran out.
I have tried daily power defence and that stuff is strong! It peeled my skin and it would burn, but now, I don't have that issue and I find that product great for people who suffer breakouts.
Now, my routine is simpler. I use the cleanser, c-bright, radical night serum (the most amazing product ever!). When the summer is over, I may have to go back to using brightenex or melamin, but this time, I will introduce those products slowly and perhaps apply it once every two weeks.
I don't moisturize, but when it does get cold outside, I will use a basic lotion from Embryolisse. Sometimes I mix it with aloe vera and vaseline on those very severe red peeling days. I've been provided Obagi Hydrate, which is a very thick cream and was perfect for my peeling face/neck.
Here are some of my non ZO products I use now:
I have a moisturzing cleanser from Guerlain (cream cleanser that is in the blue jar) I don't use it much, but use in on those days when the weather changes drastically; Boscia black peeling mask, Shiseido brightening mask (a cloth face thing that you put on your face) and a free sample of a mask that I put on my breakouts (when this mask is done, I plan to buy one from Shiseido clarifying mask) and I switch from buying ZO scrub to using baking soda mixed with my ZO cleanser and plan to buy Sisley facial scrub to use on occasion when my skin is super dry in the winter and the brand has lovely scent for a relaxing luxury scent and feel to it.
The masks that I have are used depending how my skin is for the week. The Shiseido brightening mask feel extremly cool on my skin and I like to use it when my face was getting red.
Overall, my skin look healthy. My skin tone improved, I got back firmer skin and my breakouts are more under control.
The Oclipse-C sun protection is perfect for those red, itchy, peeling skin and alway reapply every hour. |
