I thought I would post regarding SkinCeuticals since I have been using some of their products for over 2 years now. Although I do use quite of few of their products, I have not used any of their sunblocks, masks, face creams or moisturizers.
I have been using SkinCeuticals C E + Ferulic for quite some time now. It has always been clear when I purchased it. If yours is turning yellow soon after receiving it, I would return it. And, yes SC C Serums can be a bit sticky but I think their C serums are top of the line. I used to use Cellex-C's Vit C Serum 10% (Eye Toning Gel) for the under eye area, but theirs turns orange very quickly, so I decided to use the C E + Ferulic instead under my eyes, hey what the heck, saves me money. Before using SC C E + Ferulic, I used to use SkinCeutical C + AHA Serum. I also loved this serum, but I switched to their Ferulic serum when I heard there were even more antioxidant benefits with this formula. The drawback for me with the CE Ferulic is that I missed having the AHA in the serum as it helped exfoliate my skin and controlled my mild breakouts I have been dealing with all my life, so I added in ........
SkinCeuticals Intense Line Defense Serum (12% AHA serum) at night. This really has made a difference in fine lines and crepeyness on the skin, as well helping with shedding my dead skin cells to prevent breakouts. I use this every other night and alternate with a Retinol (Avene Ystheal+ Emulsion Lotion).
I also use SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel Serum. Honestly, I don't know what this does for my skin. I use it because I read that Hyaluronic Acid works well with Vit. C Serums and to follow up with an Hyaluronic Serum. I actually use this as my only "oil-free" moisturizer during the day and follow with my SPF 30 sunblock.
SkinCeuticals Eye Balm is a wonderful eye cream that I use in the morning after applying my SC Vit. C serum and before my Sunblock. I also use it at night before going to bed. I have tried quite a few eye creams, including Cellcosmet, Babor, DDF, and the list goes on. I found this eye cream to give the undereye area a moist and dewey feeling that stays the entire day. It goes on thick but rubs in quite nicely, with no balling up and no milia. It is made for mature skin (I am 42) and I just love it.
SkinCeuticals Simply Clean Gel Cleanser is a great cleanser. My skin feels so nice after washing with it, and never feels taut or dry after. It has a light citrus scent and the gel suds up with nice foamy bubbles. It is for people with oily, mild acne to combo skin and contains AHA in it.
SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.5 - I used this 1 year ago. This was my first experience with a Retinol and I found it to be too strong for my skin. My skin was very dry, flakey, scaly after using it. So I discontinued using it. I also remember that I started getting white-capped pimples when I started it. It could have been a purging process? Not sure.
All in all, I have been very happy with SkinCeuticals over the last 2 years. These products above are my must-have staples in my skincare regimen and I really haven't strayed from them.
I do use the below products along with my SkinCeuticals:
CSRx Relax-A-Line Serum - for 11's and forehead line.
DermaDoctor Body Guard SPF 30 Oil-Free Sunblock
Avene Ystheal+ Emulsion Lotion (0.05% Retinalhyde)
Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel (1x per week)
Epidermx II Microdermabrasion (1x per week)
PeterThomasRoth Power K Eye Rescue (every so often when I see some dark circles coming on)
Candessence's DMAE 6% Serum (haven't used it it yet, will try it out this weekend)
Candessence's Firming Serum (Matrixyl) (haven't used it it yet, will try it out this weekend)
