I have used this gel for nearly 3 months. It's great! It made my extremely dry skin more smoothly and full of moisture! |

I think it's just expensive HA serum. I love PSF HA serum. |

PSF HA serum doesn't contain B5. Supposedly B5 can improve barrier function and helps with irriation. |

anyone know an ingredient comparison between Skinceuticals and Cellex-C B5 serums?
I had the cellex C and loved it. Definately better than the straight HA serums... (I am using PSF HA serum at the moment) |

Cellex-C Hydra 5 B-Complex

Water (Aqua), Sodium Hyaluronate, Pantothenic Acid, Phenoxyethanol.
PSF HA Serum
Ingredients:
Hyaluronic Acid Solution (Distilled Water, Sodium Hyaluronate)
I got from EDS.
There are not same.
Boht of them have Sodium Hyaluronate.
But PSF HA Serum have not Pantothenic Acid, Phenoxyethanol.
Anyhow, who know the chemical property and/or propose of Pantothenic Acid, Phenoxyethanol? |

I've used the Cellex C, Skinceuticals and PSF HA Serums, though i'm just about to try the Candessence one. Out of the three I've tried I definitely prefer the Cellex C serum. There does seem to be a noticeable difference between the Cellex C and PSF for me anyway. I liked the Skinceuticals B5 Gel aswell, but I prefer the texture of the Cellex C and found it less tacky and hydrated my skin far better than others I've tried. |

It hydrated my skin immediately, however it's too pricy!
and there were other cheaper alternatives which gave the same result... |

As per above ingredients, PSF HA serum and Cellex-C Hydra 5 B-Complex are quite same but cheaper. |

I have heard people having reaction to Phenoxyethanol so that may be the cause as well? |

Should B5 Gel work with Skin ceutical products?
Or you just use it with other brand?
I am wondering whether this gel product can be absorbed if I use it with non skin ceutical products. |

I'm glad to read that B5 is working. I plan to buy one this upcoming Fall season, but I was going to buy it from Vivier B5.
Did anyone try that? |

Wouldn't it be easier to just make a DIY with this? Seems pretty simple |

I have tried theirs and it was pricey and okay. A cheaper alternative that I have fallen in love with is the B5 Silky HA Serum at:
http://www.babyfacestore.com/products/dry-skin-hydration
Great alternative for the Cellex HA as well. Also cheaper and less sticky than the HydraCool from IS Clinical I have used for years (and I was a die hard fan!).
I am a huge HA fan and have tried many, including Candessence,PSF and all of the above, but to me it has to be reasonable, non-irritating and soak in without being too heavy. This one fits the bill! |

Guessing it is a preservative or keeps the product blended together?
and I'm pretty sure the PSF serum has that in it.
I have tried both and the Skinceuticals is nice, but too small and pricey.

I found this DIY recipe.
Source: http://www.skinacea.com/diy/diy-recipes.html#B5
HOMEMADE SKINCEUTICALS B5 SERUM
SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel is a very popular serum that adds a boost of hydration to your skin. You can make your own at-home version for a fraction of the cost.
Ingredients:
3/8 teaspoon hyaluronic acid powder
1/4 teaspoon Vitamin B5 powder
2 tablespoons distilled water
1-2 drops liquid preservative (optional)
1 glass bottle
Instructions:
To make the serum, mix everything together inside the bottle. You can add more or less water depending on how thick or liquidy you want the serum to be.
Comments:
If you don’t add a preservative, make sure you use this up in about a week or two so it stays fresh.

I have purchased HA serums (Garden of Wisdom, etc. I have not tried this one (yet) |

It did nothing for my skin; if anything made it feel tighter after applying. |
