Not sure how many of you have heard but there have been 6 explosions in London - thought to be bomb attacks - initial reports of 20 dead and 90 injuried.
My thoughts are with any of our forum friends, or indeed all those affected.

I hope all of our EDS Londoners are safe and sound. My thoughts are with those who have been caught up in this and those who are trying to locate family/friends.
I just spent half an hour trying to locate my best friend but finally managed. *VERY* relieved! |

Are you in London Eve? I'd say those that are lucky to have escaped this will be stuck for quite some time. London must be chaos at the moment. |

cheers for the merge.
No Mabsy I'm not but I have several friends who are. Not heard anything negative as yet, have friends who are trying to get in contact with those on a train when it all started. They've not heard anything as yet. |

My thoughts and prayers are with all Londoners, as well. I wouldn’t wish a day like Sept 11th or March 11th (train attacks in Madrid) on anyone. May justice be swift and sure against those who perpetrated this horror. |

Allegedly Al Qaeda have claimed responsibility.
I finally managed to get hold of my brother and he's alright as is my sister-in-law (both work in central London).
Thoughts go out to all the victims and their family and friends. |

Apparently our London office have been told to leave their building after another blast has gone off in Leciester Square....not seen anything about it on the news. One of my friends has had to go home as he was yards from the bus when it blew up...such a shame..
I can't tell you what I'd like to do to these idiots that plant the bombs.. |

I was called out of my bed by my hubby to watch the news. I used to live in London and still have many friends there. I was so overwhelmed, I would have been affected if I was still there, I needed to pass by those tubes stops in order to get to work. Have been calling (mobile network are jamed though), emailing to checkin with everyone. God bless them.

K. I just heard on CBC they've shut the mobile networks down because terrorists in Madrid used mobiles to detonate.
I'm so sad for all of the Londoners and others who have friends and family there. |

I hope that no one here, or their families, was affected by this tragedy. I know first hand how horrible something like this is. My aunt was killed in the 9/11 attacks here in the states. There are just no words to express my sympathies for you at this time.
Take care and be well,
Liz |

It is wicked and my thoughts and best wishes go to everyone who has been affected by this act of terrorism.
What good does this do anyone? |
