No, that's the normal/dry one. Nanci doesn't have samples yet of the oily skin one but she has the full size in stock. |

Jeeze, I been using this for over a month and I haven't had the good luck you all have had. I can't say I have seen any change in my skin at all. |

Oh my I missed that new trial. I am the 50+ year old oily skin queen. This might be the ticket for daytime use. At night I love it lots. I've pondered CP Accelerator but realized it was probably too much for the oil!!

Nanci mentioned in her blog that she's testing a new DNA serum for oily skin. That's great news for me. I'd love to use it during the day but this version is too moisturizing for me. Makeup slides off. I also noticed that there's a new co accelerator for oily skin too. Too much stuff too little face. |

Sister Sweets I wouldn't be concerned if you can't use the DNA in the morning. I'm content just using it at night. In the morning I use the EGF,Collagen Elestan, and regular cp accelerator. I use to be the Queen of oil and the accelerator is fine. |

You and me both - but I swear I“ve never seen an instant visible difference with anything I try. Maybe I just need a new bathroom mirror - or, probably, a new head! |

I have extremely sensitive, thin skin, I usually see minor results right off the bat with just about anything that is made with a good formula (if my skin doesn't freak out and get irritated). But those results don't last, they either don't get any better with long term use, or it just reverts back when I don't use it aggressively. |

In general, I'm confused about the results that people do see. I understand the difference of skin being too dry and how much better it can look when thoroughly hydrated from within and without. But I don't understand how skin can physically regenerate in a matter of days. We're told that results from the use of Retin-A can take up to a year to show. Even invasive treatments like IPLs, lasers or RF take between six months to a year to improve the skin.
Yes, there are certain actives that will stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin - but this also takes months. And on top of that you have to factor in age - as mature aged skin is losing collagen at a faster rate than young skin.
I definitely believe in using proven ingredients and using appropriate skincare gadgets. And from doing so, I think my skin looks allot better than many women my age. But I'm afraid I'm just not one of those people who squirts something on my face at night and wakes up the next morning to see a brand new me staring back! |

That's not such a silly suggestion. I once started a thread on the "importance" of bathroom mirrors and flattering lighting. This was after I'd been on a road trip and had stayed in a number of different hotels. It's truly amazing the difference decent bathroom lighting makes. In some places I'd wake up and look in the mirror and think "Damn, I don't look half bad!" then in other places I'd look like something the cat dragged in. All of this would have a huge impact on how I felt for the rest of the day.
Unfortunately, my mirror at home tells the whole truth and nothing but the truth! No amount of anti-aging serums seem to fool it. |

I have liked the way I look in 'other' mirrors more than the one in my personal bath at times but the personal mirror (the one I use everyday) is the barometer for me. It is the one that tells me the truth.
I am convinced that some skin is resistant to anything and I've seen this on EDS. Keliu has determined her skin to be resistant as well as Riley - outside of Obagi for Riley.
I've also seen skin that is responsive to many products and I have found some for myself. |

The short term results I tend to see are related to hydration and circulation (my main issues), not collagen building as this takes months. It doesn't regenerate, just looks pretty and luminous from a well made product. It looks just blah a lot otherwise. Hope this helps clarify. |

I'm actually not saying that my skin is resistant. I've said many times that I think I've brought about positive results to my skin from everything I've learnt on this Forum over the last four or five years.
What I'm saying is that our skin is a biological organ like any other in our bodies (the largest in fact). The only physical response it can have is dependant on the active ingredients which are applied to it - and, of course, to other factors like general health and nutrition and sun exposure. Physically, it is impossible to regenerate tissue over a matter of days - this is the point I'm making and any doctor will tell you the same thing. Ask a burns speciallist how long it takes to grow tissue in a lab. As Ava said above, short terms results can only be due to improved hydration - not to any building of collagen or elastin. |

It took me 21 months to see the benefits of Taz & Retin-A. |

I wanted to echo the view of Keliu that it would be unlikely for us see our skin get improved in a couple of days, even 1-2 week time.
What we see may be the temporary benefits of hydration. |

I think I know what you mean. Like those old time mirrors that have the different lights you can click to (daylight, florescent, evening, etc). I think it is all about the softness effect of the lighting. (And, yes, my mirror at home also tells the truth. Unfortunately!) |

I keep giving this a try but having problems, clogs my pores, and around my eye area it gets irritated. Bummed that I seem to have a reaction to it. Oh well, I'm onto Dr. J. Skin Clinic now. |

I think we all agree with this! I remember as a teenager I would go shopping with my mother and she would go into the dressing room under those florescent lights and I would hear her having a fit now I understand The lights used to be horrible for my thighs and now it's the whole body getting the attack! Honestly, I do have a "tell all" mirror at home but I also rely on camera shots and videos. Unfortunately, I have to do videos for seminars I conduct and it really keeps me in reality....but I can also clearly see what is working for my face and what isn't.
As far as the DNA, of course it hydrates and that is seen immediately but after four months of use my under eye area looks hydrated even when the product has not been applied....for me that is wonderful. |

I mostly use mine twice a day, but sometimes only once a day. |

The most immediate effect was increased plumpness in the skin and also better moisture retention. For instance, the area below my eyes tends to be particularly dry and prone to crepiness because of this. With the serum, it remains moisturised and comfortable throughout the day and night. Even with my very dry skin, I could use this without the need for moisturiser on top.
Over time, I feel that my complexion is looking brighter and more even. Whilst the dark circles are still present (alas!) under my eyes, they do seem to be less obvious.
The effects remind me of what pleased me about my beloved, but now defunct, Remergent DNA Serum. I'd class this as the best substitute for it that I've yet found. |
