Thank you! I just tried it. I don't know if there's anything different yet. However when I put it right on top of my eyebrow, my eyebrow got a little fried. LOL I think I have to put it a bit farther from anywhere near my hair. Do you all hold the LightStim away from your skin or right on it? |

I've been resting it on my skin, because it feels good. It says in my instructions that it's fine to do so.
Have fun with it! |

catski, do you put it on your eyebrow when you do your forehead? Do you have the same reaction with your eyebrow got a bit fried, nothing too serious that I would be too concerned about? |

What you mean, 'fried', Cherisse?
I havent noticed my eyebrows responding at all to it!
I dont think I've covered them, actually, now I come to think of it. |

I'm seriously begining to think, with a little more research, my electrical wiz of a husband could build me one of these LED doohickeys...so begins my plotting |

I bet he could and probably the price would be right too. |

Ive been resting mine directly on the skin, because I like the heat sensation, I havent noticed any fried eyebrows though.
Its only been a few days, but I swear my face looks a few pounds lighter through the jawline, also my lips look plumper.
Over in the BQ thread they said it wasnt conclusive about the effects on the Thyroid, but to be on the safe side to avoid passing the unit over the area. So I would avoid the lower 1/2 of your neck. Also maybe you wear those tiny tanning goggles if you cant find a comfortable way to block the light from your eyes. |

Questions for LightStim users:
1. Do you have to wait until the unit is heated before you start to put it on your skin? I noticed that when I turned it on, and put it on my face, it did not get hot right away. After a few minutes (maybe 5), it started to get warm. Is the effect coming from the light or the heat? Anyone knows?
2. Do you smell that funny plastic smell?
3. If you press it not really that hard on your skin, do you see those little round imprints on your skin from the unit? I did not intend to press at all, but just so I did not have to hold it away from my skin, I rested my unit on my forehead. When I moved it to another area when I was done with that one area, I saw all these little round imprints on my forehead. So funny.
4. Do you all see some results after just one use? I don't see anything yet. I tried it once last night and once this AM. How long do you leave the unit on each area? I am thinking to get a timer, and it is a pain to look at a clock with no second hand. How does everyone time each treated section?
5. Any other tip to make the treatment less boring? Music? TV? |

Hi Cherisse,
THe smell is the smell - it goes away.
I think that since it's a light treatment (not a heat treatment) you don't have to wait for it to get warm.
LOL I got those dents on my forehead today - thought, oh no, what if they're baked in? But they're not.
I watch TV or read and keep it on each section for about 2 minutes, believing that I can't overdo it. You get used to judging the time without relying on the clock.
YOu don't see results at first - but you do feel them. Your face should feel a slight tightening or plumping in the skin. That might be more evident to somebody who's already had light treatments and knows what to expect. |

I am keeping it by my bed, and doing the treatment whilst reading.
I always read for longer than I should, so finally that bad habit will pay off! |

Thank you China. I am grateful for your response. I will do my treatment in front of a TV instead of in front of my bathroom mirror then. I want to treat my tummy stretch marks, too, but my tummy is even bigger than my face, and I thought I'd need to dedicate all day to this thing. LOL
Yeah, I got worried about those prints on my forehead, too. Thank goodness it's not permanent. |

Cherisse you make me laugh!
I am using it on my decolletage and tummy stretchmarks too - which is super easy to do whilst siting in bed. I just put the lightstim where I want it to be and move it a few minutes later.
I'm grateful it has quite a big head. |

catski, how long have you been using it on your tummy? Do you see any improvement at all? I have stretchmarks and my tummy skin appears a bit wrinkly around my navel, so I tried to focus on that. Being the impatient person I am, I stared at it after I lifted off the LightStim to see if I could see anything different. LOL I know I was crazy, but anyway, I just wanted to hear what you have observed so far since you've been using it longer than I have. |

Do the instructions say to use it for a few minutes on each spot and that it's OK to use everyday? |

I've only had it since christmas day!
I think someone said six months for stretchmark improvement!
But no worries - we'll still be here in six months, right? It's no problem - I decided to go for less often treatments, for longer time. So for my abdominal stretchmark area, it is 3 x the width of the lightstim head, so I put it on my abdomen, read for 5 mins. Move it along. read for 5 mins, etc.
Now, I'm not timing it, just guessing.
With the face, the improvement is much much much quicker.
Another nice thing - it dried up a huge jawline spot I had, from too much sugar at christmas. |

Frodo, yes, you can use it every day, and you time it for I think 2 minutes each spot.
catski, yup, I'll still be here in 6 months. Let's keep in touch to see how we do with our stretch marks. I took a before picture, and left the picture in my camera. Last night my boyfriend was trying to help me upload my pictures to a PC. He probably thought what on earth were these pictures of a tummy and just my face with no makeup, etc. LOL Well, he was a complete gentleman and made no comment. |

Oooh I'm gonna definitely try this on my stretch marks, but like you Cherisse I am soooo impatient.
Do you use the ls after you put your creams & potions on? I thought that it would help with the absorption of the products, but I think I read somewhere on EDS that the ls should be used on a clean face. Jeez, I never read directions & threw away whatever came with my unit. |

Leidon, I asked the girl at LS...Effie or Essie (not sure)...about this topic. I told her I bought Strixaderm MD which is supposed to help with my stretch marks but has not seemed to work. Not sure if it was because I was not consistent with the usage. Anyway I asked her if I should put on this lotion on my tummy first and massage and then do the LightStim, or just the opposite. She first said do the LightStim first but then she said she could see the benefit of using the LightStim right after the application of the lotion since it would help to push the lotion down deeper and help to rebuild the collagen. I have not yet tried this. I am going to tonight. I also got the skinbio order, and I really need to try it. I first have to open them up, and read their website again as to which order of things to put first on my tummy. Tonight I will dedicate it to self-pampering since my boyfriend will be working late, and I don't have to go see him. |

Cherisse, I am a complete and utter ostrich, and would never be able to take a photo of my stretchmarks.
I know this outs me as First Class Wimp, but there we go...
I reckon with the skinbio system and the light stim those stretchmarks dont stand much chance of survival, long term.
BTW, this morning I had coffee with a girlfriend and the first thing she said to me was "you're looking very young!"
( ahem, I'm 47!) and she went on to say "you're forehead is very smooth" - she was obviously very taken aback by the improvement. So that is very quick, isnt it! |

Catski, WOW, I am encouraged. I was driving in to work this morning after doing a quick spot treatment with LightStim on my cheeks hoping to get rid of my sunspots quickly and was wondering if I wasted my money on LightStim, and whether I should have bought NuFace or Quasar instead (but then remembering the prices and I shrank back to my budget corner!) I am so happy that you are getting great results. You started about 12 days ahead of me, so maybe I will see more results in a couple of weeks. Thanks so much for reporting back your quick results. Last night I tried putting the LightStim on my knees since I was crazy enough to rid my bike to work (only 4 miles but took me 1 hour). My knees hurt pretty bad last night. But this morning the pain is barely noticeable...still there to remind me of my craziness but not bad at all. I wonder if it was LightStim that helped it to feel better. Now the LightStim got pretty warm after a while. I left it on my tummy for at least 5 minutes per spot hoping to accelerate results. My tummy was all warm after that. But this morning I felt as though my tummy felt smoother to the touch. I put on the Exfol cream after my shower. I look forward to putting on the Triple R&R followed by the Super CP serum tonight. Watch out, Stretch Marks! I am bringing an exterminator. |

I have brown spots on the thumb side only of the top of each hand, so I've been putting the LightStim there for two minutes or more a day. I haven't bothered with the other half or my fingers because I suffer from impatience. After only a few days, there is distinct difference in the texture of the skin I've treated.
Before I use the light I put on a solution of ascorbic acid/water and let it dry. I read in another group that it helps the effectiveness of the light. |

I got my Lightstim today and used it for the first time!
I does smell and I think it's the rubber grip on the handle. I'm not sure I can notice any difference in my skin, but have to admit it is quite relaxing. I didn't time myself to the second, but tried to hold it over my skin for about a minute or so watching TV. I have had Dermal Tone for a couple of years and have used it sporadically for a week or two. Somehow, it was difficult for me to find the time and also you do need to adjust the position and place it over the right spots to get the muscles contracting.I can see myself using Lightstim on a regular basis, if of course it brings the desired effect.
I just looked at myself in the mirror, and my left eye lid (the area that shows) is larger than my right?! It's the first time I notice this. Could it be that I held the device for a longer time above my left eye than the right eye?
And do you put it over you lips? I don't see why not, but still I wonder. |
