Philosophy Soul Owner foot cream is an excellent cream to use under socks, it makes the dry skin just peel off and leaves your skin smooth and soft. |

I think I'm going to fall prey to the good reviews and get a Ped Egg. I have seen them at Walgreens and just Friday at Sally Beauty. I think the Sally's were smaller though.
I have to get my tootsies ready for warm sandal/flip flop weather! |

PED EGG!!!!!
I also really like Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme - put it on then put on socks. I feel like I can see the coconut oil sink in . . .but I warn you that you have to like the smell of coconuts . . . |

Here's what I like to do to make sure that my feet are super smooth and moisturised as well.
In the evening, have a long bath (or foot soak) and use a pumice scrub on your feet. After your feet have soaked long enough, dry them off and use one of those Tweezerman (or similar, I've found the Tweezerman to be great) foot files that looks like a mini-grater. After you're done, slather vaseline (or something equally rich) all over your feet, wrap them in glad wrap, put on some socks and head off to bed (carefully! it's hard to walk in glad wrapped feet!). Wake up in the morning and use the foot file again on the softened skin. Voila! This has always worked well for me whenever I have neglected my feet. I'm pretty good these days, mainly because I have a whole range of foot creams lined up by my bed that I need to finish off |
Sounds good!! |

Hi, I'm new here, but I actually may be able to offer a remedy. A tube of Kerasal from the drug store will help. I had a hard, rough bit of skin on my tailbone, the result of a blister I got on a canoe trip. That sucker was there for years and wouldn't soften no matter what I put on it. Kerasal did the trick and quickly. Next canoe trip, I bring a cushion. |
welcome schatze!!thanks for info |

Ok, this is part cheap and part a little bit less cheap;
1. Daily in the shower (the last thing you do as your feets have been "soaked" for some time) use the Body Shop pumice and foot scrub/exfoliator (with peppermint) to remove any dead skin cells
2. Apply Aveda Foot Relief which is rich and creamy and beautiful. When all dead skin cells are removed, the foot cream will actually work (believe it or not!)
Remember to get rid of the build up around the cuticles of your toes and your nails will become awesome
This helped me through the summer (in Australia) because I tend to get very dry feets of the salty sea water, sand and sun.
Good luck! |

I have heard good reviews on GLYTONE FOOT AND ELBOW CREAM - not sure of the correct name, but it has 29.5 glycolic acid and its supposed to be superb fo dry cracked feet. My next buy i think! |

I was in wlmart last night to purchase a new file for my feet. The lcerk at the checkout told me that while this was a good file the pedegg is the way to go. She knew exactly where to find it in the store and I picked one up- It's not with the foot care products...
anyhoo, long story short. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou to all who praised this little egg. I was skeptical, but took the plunge and all I can say is WOW! And thanks too for the warnings about not overdoing it- my feet are looking great in their sandals this morning and it was so quick, painless and easy. |

bondgirl,
by the way I just heard from my son currently studying in England- the new Bond film is out already there and he said it does not get much better than that- to be in the UK, catching the new Bond flick, studying at Cambridge.
Our walmart currently has the Pedeggs on a display by the cash registers- and they are still the pink ones for breast cancer month- |

I'm a fan of the PedEgg. While it works great on my girly feet, I thought I'd say something for those who may have tougher issues. My BF's work exposes his hands and feet to a lot of abuse and at their worst they were cracked and extremely dry and rough (couldn't let him touch me, they were so rough). I gave him numerous lotions/oils to try and he went and found something on his own: Goldbond Foot Creme. The difference was incredible! It totally made me rethink the way I viewed Goldbond. |

All you need is those synthetic exfoliation gloves they sell at any drug store. They are meant to be used all over the body. If you wash with the glove every day (body and feet), you will never have dry rough feet again. It doesn't take any EXTRA time to do if your are using the glove because you don't even have to reach for a stone or file, the glove is on your hand and you can just wear one at a time so the other hand is free to use. I am deployed to Iraq and wear boots all day long, and mind you have been for over 6 months now, I use this every night in the shower and my feet are exquisite! No one could ever guess I were combat boots all day! |

I am afraid that your dry feet are caused by sun exposure. Wearing shoes that don't expose your feet directly to the sun will be more effective than applying any lotions on your feet. |

I have a bit of a foot fetish and I cheat by going to Spa Utopia for a six-weekly pedi... the nailpolish lasts that long, and I care for my feet every night and morning. After a wash or bath, I use a heating scrub by Lippman, then massage in Shea Terra Nubian Chocolate, or their Lavender of the Khoisan cream. Sometimes I use Archipelago Botanicals amazing Brown Sugar and Vanilla Body Butter but not that often now as it contains parabens (and I think it's been discontinued). At night, I use the aloe-infused pink spa socks that you can buy in the footcare section of drugstores. My feet are as soft as a baby's with this routine. Oh yes, and if I am going to wear shoes or sandals, I apply a strip of moleskin down my toes to stop them from getting rubbed or marked by the shoes. Yes, I'm a woman obsessed! |

I forgot to mention that, when I'm putting my various creams and makeup on in the morning, I use Yogatoes. These things rock, I tell you! Just be sure to slip them on after running them in hot water for a couple of seconds, while they are still wet, and stretch them to insert between the toes. They are also great for use as toe separators when applying nailpolish. I also have the Lippman spa booties. I don't like the Bliss ones (eeeooow! is how I feel when I put them on...all sort of slithery and weird) |

I tried everything to soften the skin on my feet and to repair my cracked heels and only one thing worked: apple cider vinegar.
Now I periodically soak my feet in an ACV bath for an hour or so while watching TV and afterwards, I scrub my feet and watch the skin just fall off in sheets.
It's great to do this right before I go in for a pedicure. My feet end up as soft as a babys feet.
So cheap too

Here's another tip...Mary Kay makes a bright pink, highly aromatic Vaseline-like hydrating cream. I think it's called "Extra Emollient" something-or-the-other. Just slather this on your feet at night and put on a pair of thin socks. You'll wake up to amazingly soft tootsies! |
