Bren, are you using the DNA Serum only around your eyes? (I agree with you on the pump not being great. I got tired of it and just take the top off and pour a little out!) |

I've been using it all over my face and neck. Every AM and every other PM that I'm not using retin-a. |

Although I have had no instant plumping or "cushioning" I'm going to continue with this product. It fills my essential five criteria, which are: doesn't break me out, doesn't irritate my Sebaceous Hyperplasia, doesn't ball up and is reasonably priced.
BTW, the unusual smell is very familiar to me. I can't remember where I've smelt it before - could it have been in a SkinActives product? |
I only count four criteria - I can only hope the missing one is that it actually does something, otherwise what's the point. |

Hi bren,
Hope you can help.
I just got the tuck and not sure how to use it with DNA. Do you put the DNA on and let sink in and then the tuck after? How much tuck do you use and how do you apply?
Sorry - I know it's a tad off topic.

I've been using the DNA since the end of November which puts me at about 8 or 9 days. Although I haven't noticed any plumping or cushioning, I have noticeable improvement of hydration in my under eye area in the fact that my "late in the day" accordion look under my eyes and towards the outsides when I smile is pretty much gone. The outer is completely wiped out. Which is great because now I don't feel so self conscience when smiling
I have also taken note of the fact that my tuck serum works much better since I started using this...it just looks more natural.
The one thing I hate about the serum: the pump bottle!! Terrible for dispensing even with trying to pump half way and slowly in my cupped hand. The pump is simply just not "fluid" enough and has too much resistance for such a thin consistency serum. I will have to rebottle this in something else as it is quite a pain.
But all in all, I am very happy with what I see thus far and if all it ever does is give me more hydration under my eye area then it's still money well spent! For the amount you get and the amount you use it's a great bargain. I could see this lasting me several months. I look forward to the coming weeks to see if I get any plumping... |

Hey Sis, I use the tuck as the last step...serums, creams, sunblock, makeup and the very last thing the tuck.
I used to apply it with a small brush but have found applying with my middle finger in a patting motion to be more effective in warding off the white flakes. I only need help around my trough area so that is the only place I apply it and I use as little as possible, patting until it is no longer shiny/serumy in appearance. Then I just remain expressionless for 20-30 minutes making sure I don't move the under eye area until it sets in. There will typically be a sight white flakey residue around the outer edges of the tuck in which I just take a moistened q-tip and gently whisk them away. After that I am good to go!
I think the more natural appearance of the tuck with the DNA is due to there being more hydration under the eye area now whereas before the DNA the tuck tended to get a bit stiff in nature as the day progressed. |

Sis, I use the Easy Eye Solutions Tuck the same way as Bren21 does. The tuck is really natural looking over the DNA serum.
I have been using the DNA serum since July and the greatest benefit is the under eye hydration as Bren21 mentions and the plumper under eye look that I have. I think the rest of the face looks good with it but my main difference is what is going on in the under eye area. |

No kidding Sis! At the time I put on my tuck, my girls are up getting ready for school. Mix an 18 year old who's definitely more of a night person with an 11 year old who's exhibiting signs of puberty and I'm either laughing or yelling my head off (most often it's the yelling..Lol). I'm like "Girls! Enough! I can't move my face for the next 20 minutes!"
On a side note, I just bought a Pretika a few days ago and have used it 2 nights. Might I add that brush is killer on my cheeks!! Way harsh and there's no way I could use it frequently there. I think eventually I will have to bend and buy the Clarisonic if the brushes are softer Anywho, I used the Pretika and DNA before bed and woke up to a nice plump little glowy face. This immediately reminded me of my days of using the LightStim as that was the only thing (which I also used before bed) that made my face look like this in the AM. |

I do not have to do the 20-30 sec. with no expression...it works for me no matter what I do! |

You're lucky Toby! I am hoping with continued use of the DNA I won't have to hold still either. I do believe the more plyable & hydrated my under eye area becomes the less I will have to worry about movement in the setting stage of the tuck. Seeing my that area was dry before, I had to hold it still while the tuck set....but now, this all goes back to saying the tuck works much better with the DNA with the more natural appearance, so I think I am heading in the right direction! |

Well, I definitely find the DNA Serum helps with my dryness and my skin seems to retain moisture much better. I am not seeing any "cushioning" or "plumping" of any area.
I would love to hear from others who purchased the DNA Serum back in August what results or lack thereof you have had! |

Sorry, had a Senior Moment! I think you missed the point of my post. I regard the four criteria I mentioned as being a good thing - so that is the point. If after a year of use I see some physical improvement to my skin (as Nanci suggests), then that will be a bonus. |

Ok, ordered DNA serum and EGF... about 10 days in so far. Using the DNA nightly and EGF every other day (due to budget).
I have noticed that my skin is super smooth and supple - I believe that is coming from the DNA serum.
I have some wrinkles under the eye that I am hoping to address. I will post another update in a month.

Love the DNA product and it is indeed working well with the tuck. My face has the most hydrated feeling ever without feeling oily. I don't use moisturizer during the day with the tuck (which I apply after DNA) and it still retains as moist and supple under the eye area. |

Riley, I'm still using it but still haven't seen anything impresive. I started Nanci's
matrixil 3000 and did see a change with that. I will use the DNA up and not reorder, it's just not for me. |

Thanks for reporting back, rmc7. I actually gave up on the DNA serum. I developed a ton of blackheads from the serum, unfortunately. The moisture retention I got from it was just not worth the blackheads! Good luck with the matrixyl! |

For my money, nothing is better than a night cream with Renovage. Every time I buy a product without Renovage and expect similar results, it fails me. |

You might be interested in buying some of the raw Renovage, and you can add some to the products you were disappointed with..
Optimum concentration is 3% and it's oil soluble...

was just over at the skin care forum...not once have i visited that forum but tonight i read the #1 best product thread and i thought, i should write about NCN's DNA repair...i didn't, i cruised EDS instead and came across this thread. This product is my #ONE product. Doesn't plump me, but creates clarity and glow... compliments abound...how do i know it's the DNA...it is the only skincare CONSTANT in all the variables... i couldn't understand why my skin looked so good(even i saw it) and people were commenting even though i was at my worstdiatarily...no green smoothies, no salads, lots of rich food and wine, minimal excercise... a friend implored WHAT are you doing...i thought it was God...then i realized it must be the DNA...

If God's handing out the clarity and glow - who's handing out the acne and wrinkles?!!! |

Hi everyone - Have been looking for some
great actives to add to my DIY creams for elasticity and sagging. When I called Lotioncrafter to discuss the actives, I asked about renovage and was told that it works better
for redness. This led me to purchase other actives instead of the renovage. If anyone
purchases this active, let us know what results you receive from adding this to your creams.
Thx DiPhx |

I was just reading about the redness reduction from renovage, and am going to try the DNA Serum again. Unfortunately, when I put it on my already irritated skin this morning it burned and I had to wash it off. I'll wait until my skin calms down and then try the DNA again. This time I will try more exfoliation to see if that will keep the blackheads away. I would love to get the anti-redness benefit, but may need to just purchase the active and put it in something else. |

Riley - have you tried nappy rash zinc cream for calming your redness? Whenever my skin flares up I put a fairly thick layer on my face at night (as you would apply it to a baby's bottom). It acts as an anti-inflammatory and is very calming. And, of course, zinc is good for the skin anyway. |
