I was thinking of going down there this week, some of the Quo brushes are on sale, but only until the 9th Sad
What Clairns product did you buy, and have you used ROC Peel-Ex before? I've heard good reviews about it. Yeah, that's all I need right now...another product added to the brew!

Just an update on the coupon ordeal: I went to Shoppers today & talked with Customer Service. They said I should be getting the coupon by email this week, and if I don't receive it by Wednesday I should phone their 1-800 number.
Of course I couldn't walk out empty handed Laughing so I picked up a tube of Burt's Bees Orange Facial Cleanser (how could I resist after all the rave reviews!)
Is there any other Burt's Bees products that anyone would highly recommend? Gotta get my shopping list ready for this weekend!

Any other recs out there?

My local SDM carries Lise Watier, Biotherm, Clarins, LRP, RoC, Vichy, Neostrata, Avene...err....what else?! I think that's it...

I was thinking about the PF eyeliner pen its supposedly easy to use.

I may get the gel gloves, my hands have been horrible lately - we'll see.

I don't know if I really want to drive to Metrotown for the Beauty Boutique. I hate going there - especially on weekends because its so busy and there are soooo many kids loitering around. Rolling Eyes

Hi Puglove,
A couple of products that come to mind are:
1) Sally Hansen Spa Foot Pumice Cream (packaged in a lavendar/white tube) is a great product at an excellent price(about $Cool. I use it on my feet & hands. Massage it in & keep rubbing until it flakes off in shavings, then rinse & pat dry. It makes the skin sooo soft! Try it on your feet first, then you can decide if it's gentle enough for your hands.
2) Witchcraft brand diamond nail file. I think it was around $15, but not sure. I use it on my feet as the final filing after the Diamancel #10. I file with this until I get the skin rolling off in shavings. It leaves the skin super smooth!
3) Micro-fibre face cloths. I don't recall the brand, they're packaged in a box, 1 cloth for about $20. I read a thread here that one member uses generic micro-fibre cloths that work well for a lot less money. Haven't tried using those yet, so I can't say if these cloths from SDM work better.

I think I'm going to get a couple of Quo brushes, brush cleaner, and try out the Burt's Bees avocado hair pre-treatment & one of the products Yen suggested from that line.
That should take care of my $100 coupon, if not more!

kls- I have not used RoC Peel-Ex before. I just bought it because of the good review and it was on sale for $29.99 (reg. $45). I bought Clarins Contouring Facial Lift- have not tried it before either. I am waiting for the coupon before I would open them. I did not know SDM sells the Burt's Bees cleanser. I am not sure if my local SDM carries all the Burt's Bees products, I did not see them. Where do they normally keep them?

I am trying to see what I should get for the $100. Must try to remember the brush cleaner. The Burt's Bees avocado hair pre-treatment sounds good. I also need a foot rasp. How is the SDM Micro-fibre face cloths?

Hi Tidieu!
I'm really interested in hearing how you like the RoC Peel-Ex & especially the Clairns Contouring Facial Lift (seems like my face is starting to go in the same direction as my boobs!)
The Burt's Bees was in the aisle with other skin products. I have to admit I haven't used the micro-fibre face cloths much. Just don't want to overdue it now that I'm using ISC.

2nd update on the coupon saga:
I called head office of SDM & talked to their customer service. I was told that I "might" receive the coupon by email, but that the coupons will be available from the sales clerks on the 10th & 11th. When I told her that I had gotten a different story from our local store, she said that they were the head office & make the rules (in not a very nice tone I might add). I hope everyone gets their discount this weekend with no hassles. I'm going to have my unopened purchase from last week with me, just in case.
Off the subject of SDM, I noticed a post I made yesterday was edited. At first I thought I had made a typing error, when I went in to quote & correct, I saw that I had typed it in correctly, so I'm assuming an EDS moderator edited it. I'm a bit confused about what I did that was unacceptable. If anyone can clarify this for me I would really appreciate it. TIA.

You can print the coupon from their website today.

But I received the coupon from the SDM SA on the 1st of June and I know some of my friends did not get the coupon on that day.

So what did you guys buy?!

I got:

1. Greens+ in capsule form (just HAD to try it)

2. Burts Bee Orange Essence Facial cleanser - this has left my skin really really soft! $15.99

3. Physician's forumla eyeliner felt market - its like a stiff marker with a pointy end, great if you dont have a steady hand. This came with a free gift - Mascara in a tube? Lash in a tube? I forgot what it was called - I haven't tried it yet. $10.99

4. NYC nail polish is a gooooorgeous red! $2.99!!!

4. Revlon birthstone gems sticky for nails. I'll apply them when I do my next pedicure. $13.99

5. Boar bristle brush from Goody. I'm surprised it actually makes a difference! $19.99

6. Witchcraft toenail seperators. $1.99

7. People magazine - Angeline Jolie, Brad Pitt and Shiloh Nouvel Jolie Pitt on the cover. Sooo cute
Smile

8. VitaBath 2 pack - moisturing shower gel and refreshing/moisturing spray for $10!!!

It was hard finding things to buy...

I was looking for the microfiber face clothes, but my local SDM stopped carrying them for some reason.

In total, I only had to pay $19.23!~ I'm quite pleased. Very Happy Very Happy

Oh yeah, when I was there, they were putting up a display for Benefit's Bad Gal mascara. I was going to ask the SA about that but forgot.

Just got back from SDM, and like Puglove, I was having a hard time finding the things that were on my list. (Our Shoppers carries a limited selection of Burt's Bees & no Clairns).
These are what I finally decided on:

Cover FX brush cleaner- thanks for the rec!

Quo blush brush

Burt's Bees Avocado Butter Pre-Shampoo & Lip Shimmer in rhubarb shade

Quo eyeshadow quad in sandbar/sable (nice soft, matte colors, texture seems very silky), & illuminating concealer in #3 shade (was hoping they carried the Burt's B concealer, but no).

Marc Anthony Moisture Gloss Color Extender. Suppose to stop color fade-out, add moisture & provide protective barrier from heat & sun. Micro-light & non-greasy.

Dove Advanced Colour Care, Radiance Enhancing Treatment, claims to keep hair looking as silky & shiny as the day it was colored.

My total came to @93.00, so I picked up a bottle of Guess "Man" cologne for DH (which I got reimbursed for).
I'm quite proud of myself that I kept my total to the value of the coupon, since I'm still recovering from my last EDS order! Shock

Hi kls -

Its hard to find things to buy 'eh?@!

I loooove the Cover fx brush cleaner. It works well! Kudos on the Quo brush as well - sounds like you got a nice haul!

I had to refrain from buying make up because God knows that my traincase is overflowing with makeup. I got enought eyeshadows, lipsticks, lipglosses and backup unused mascaras!! Terrible isn't it?!

Let me know how you like the avocado butter pre-shampoo ... I was thinking about getting it, but decided not to.

I'm in richmond. I saw you mention metrotown so that's why I asked Smile

I'll be going to metrotown sometime today since I need to go to the future shop there...I hope they have some benefit now, that would be cool b/c I've always wanted to give it a try

Just an update on a few things I bought:
LOVE the brush cleaner & Quo blush brush! The brush is sooo soft! (the Lauren Hutton one I was using seems scratchy to me). I think I'll be buying more of these brushes in the near future.
Another one I'm really impressed with is the Burt's Bees Avocado butter pre-treatment. I've been using it as an overnight treatment & my hair feels so much softer.
I wish they had the "nutmeg" color in the lip shimmer, that sounds like more my color. They only had ones in the pink range, I chose "rhubarb" and it seems way too pink on me.
I really like the Quo eyeshadow, the texture is nice & the colors blend well together.
Haven't tried the other hair products yet, need to color my hair right away & see how they work.
Oh yeah, the Prevage I purchased on the first day hasn't been opened yet, trying out the sample they gave me. So far so good, no bad reactions yet.
Hope everyone is enjoying their new goodies!
