I suppose this is a new definition of "loose-lipped". I wouldn't worry about deflation at all. At least the ORAL sphincter is designed to stretch quite a bit. If not, how else would we eat Big Macs? BTW, I'm talking sandwiches here |

I notice its been a few months since this post started and wonder how the girls are getting on with their pouts? I am going to get restylane on Monday and wondered if it is still holding up after 3 months. I have had it done twice before, first time there was no difference at all and I got my money back - went elsewhere and this time it only lasted couple of weeks so they are giving me it half price this time, I have pretty bad smoker lip lines so hope this time it lasts a bit longer! |

Ok...so I am thinking of having my top lip plumped up a little... Just wondering if any of you lovely ladies who have had this done could give me some info. I was wondering:
1-do you think Restylane or Perlane is better? I don't want dramatic really (not Angelina-like), but I want my top lip to match the fullness of my bottom lip; about 2 or 3mm bigger.
2-how many CCs do you think one would need? I know that is such a difficult question to answer, but I am really unsure as to how much a CC is and I have been reading some other sites and they talk about that a lot.
ETA: Has anyone heard of or tried Aquamid? It is supposed to be safe and permanent... |

If I was you I would try Restylane before anything longer lasting just to see how you like it. 1 CC would be enough or even half of that if you are only wanting your top lip done. I get it to reduce the lines I have above my lips (smokers lines) and to be honest this is the 3rd time and I give up!! The lines are still there and although not as bad they are not going to go away, though I do like the way it defines the shape of my lips. I have been advised to try Renova on my top lip and am now using the Derma Excel 7 as a few people have said it is making a difference to their lip lines. I would never put anything permanent in my lips - just look at Lesley Ash, she was lovely and has now totally spoiled her looks.. Remember to get a dental block as your lips are very tender and it will hurt quite a bit, also be prepared to take the next day off work as you will have swelling. Take a look atwww.makemeheal.com there is a forum dedicated to Restylane, botox etc though remember people that are happy with their results dont usually go looking for these sites and I'm sure there are loads of people who are thrilled with their results.
Some people are lucky to find Restylane lasts up to 6 months but most people I have spoke to have only got about 3 months out of it before it starts to go...so basically if its something you are going to want to get regularly you are going to have to shell out quite a bit of money to keep it topped up....
Theres nothing wrong in trying it once to see how you like it then decide for yourself if its worth the pain and the money....
Good luck! |

I am also interested to know how things are going?
I am thinking about getting a teeny amount in just my top lip to balance out with my heavier bottom lip What do you think....should I go for it |
