Thank you all for your ReLuma reviews! For months I've been considering trying it, and your comments helped me make the decision to give it a go. FYI, at the moment, Truth in Aging is selling the cleanser, serum, and moisturizer trio for $164. As I understand it, their combo includes the original version (which some users apparently prefer) of the moisturizer--the Skin Illuminating Anti-Aging Moisturizer--instead of the new formulation of the moisturizer--the Advanced Facial Moisturizer. There is a comparison review of the two moisturizers on their site, as well as a review of the Skin Illuminating Anti-Aging Moisturizer only and a review of the Advanced Facial Moisturizer only.

Also, the other day I contacted http://www.cellvitals.com to ask how to use ReLuma in combination with retinol, alpha or beta hydroxy acids, or vitamin C. I heard back from them today and they said they asked the manufacturer and: "According to them, you can use retinol, alpha or beta hydroxy acids, or vitamin C with ReLuma. Just apply them first, and then use ReLuma. You should wait for the first products to dry first, usually 3 to 5 minutes."

I haven't received the product yet so I haven't had the chance to experiment with usage, but it seems a little counterintuitive to not put ReLuma on first in a couple of cases. But I will follow those instructions to begin with, and maybe switch it up later. I plan to use ReLuma alone for the first two or three weeks, anyway, before I add other products. By the way, Cell Vitals is currently offering 20% off on bundles and the eye cream.

Thanks for the info and for finding out the other product usage! I agree re luma first.

You're welcome for the info, loopylori and Tiny. I hope it works, too. It'll be hard for me to be patient and wait for full results. I'm prone to switching up products if I'm not seeing any effects in three or four weeks, but I'm going to stick with ReLuma for at least three months, or whenever the bottles run out!

Can you tell me what the differences in the creams are? I will go read, but curious what your thoughts on this are. I know they both contain the good stuff, but other than that, clueless

I wouldn't assume whoever answered the question REALLY knows, unless they are one of the creators or formulators.

I would go with the typical "thinner stuff first" application to ensure it doesn't just sit on top of the Retin A.

I know it is best to never assume or take unknown people as an authority, I have been using my RA last thing. Smile

Since ReLuma serum is very thin, and it contains the ingredient I want most on my skin, I am using it first, wait a min or till absorbed then I'd add any other product, thin to thickests as Bethany said!

ok thats my 2 cents Smile

Totally agree Tiny, I have always applied my products with that rule in mind and stick to that!

I want the goodies in the serum and "cream/serum" first and foremost! Very Happy

Tiny, I haven't used either moisturizer yet so I can only go by the comparison in the reviews. It seems that the new formulation is more moisturizing and contains antioxidants and is in a larger sized bottle but it lacks the amino acids that were found in the original moisturizer. I ordered the trio with the original moisturizer. If I like ReLuma, I will probably also test the new formula because my skin is on the dry side.

I agree with you guys. It doesn't sound right that ReLuma would be applied last, after those other products (doesn't make sense to me and I probably won't use as directed), but as I mentioned those application instructions supposedly come from the manufacturer. The person who responded to my inquiry at Cell Vitals apologized for the delay in getting back to me and said that "Since I did not have the answer to your question, I had to contact the manufacturer."

The same day that I contacted Cell Vitals, I also asked the question at http://www.buyrelumanow.com/contact.php. The next day, before I heard back from Cell Vitals, I messaged http://invitrxtherapeutics.squarespace.com/contact-us/. If I get a response from the other two sites, I'll let you all know.

Thanks for all the information Renata, now I wonder if my second set (purchased from Cell Vitals shop on Amazon) which has the larger serum and cream is the new or older formula? Laughing I don't want to open it until I am ready to use it.

It just goes against all we have always read to apply a heaver cream based product first!

I call the cream a serum/cream because while nice and moisturizing it has a light serum like consistency!

We are the rule breakers! Laughing

Please report what you think once you use the "moisturizer" and what you hear back from invitrxtherapeutics! Very Happy

DM,

I just looked, the set you ordered from Cellvitals will have the New cream in it! the serum and such is all the same! So you can let us know which you prefer Very Happy It appears only TIA is carrying the older version (by older this is new within last few months). It seems they requested to keep it and Re Luma agreed to continue making it for them.

From what I can tell, both creams have the same first ingredient, the stem cells! so thats the most important to me.

but I am very curious as to the difference

I believe what Tiny is referring to mainly is that the first ingredient and most important is Human Adipose Derived Stem Cell Conditioned Media in both.

So ladies here is the story on consistency, the new one is a little thicker than the older formula we got at TIA, but it is still not what I would consider heavy at all more lotion like than anything. It sinks in just as nicely as the older formula so feel wise not a huge difference. Smile

Thanks Lacy, I was reading and trying to get out of the house, I had a big function to attend. What I was pointing out was the adition of ayctel hexapeptide, its what I could see fast, and the biggest change that I noticed. Also the first ingredient is the same, its the important one to me.

The important thing for me is the serum is the same. But I might want to try the other cream later, obviously they think they've improved it, others seem to still like the older version. So I am clueless.

Thanks DM!!! I just wonder which is better, seems those at TIA love the old.

You are welcome,

I might try the new one on my face tonight so we have a better idea as I said the consistency of the newer formula is a bit thicker, if one is more effective would be difficult to say until using it for a few weeks my feeling is the most important ingredient is the same and probably most concentrated in the serum. Smile

How was your function?? Very Happy
