I always went to the spa and got facials done with this skin care line. I enjoyed the masks, but the moisturizer that was always used made my skin so oily and breakout. |

I am new to this forum but I have been using Eminence products for about 2 years. I am 40 years old with very oily skin. My favorite products include:
Stone Crop Gel Cleanser- nice, natural scent; gentle yet able to clean off makeup at end of the day
Eucalyptus Gel Cleanser - invigorating scent; stronger cleanser than Stone Crop but not drying
Mineral Gel Cleanser- stronger mineral scent (but still nice); great for oily/acne skin; drying to acne but not skin
Tomato Oil-Control Gel - probably my favorite Eminence product; great non-greasy everyday light moisturizer for oily skin; smells like natural herbs
Rosehip Whip Moisturizer - made my skin feel very soft; too heavy for daily use on my oily skin; I liked it as a heavier nighttime moisturizer
Sugar Plum Oil Free Moisturizer - my go to nighttime moisturizer; strong fruity smell (I like it but it may be too strong for some)
Garlic and Tomato Masque - great for oily skin; smells like herbs; calms, sooths, and temporarily mattifies oily skin; I also tried the Tomato Lycopene masque for normal skin - although it was nice, I prefer the garlic and tomato one
Rosehip & Maize Masque - this is a nice weekly exfoliating masque but I prefer Ilike's version; the Ilike masque feels thicker and more concentrated to me
I have been pleased with Eminence Organics. I have not found any miracle products in this line but I have found great everyday products that are natural and non-irritating to my somewhat sensitive, acne-prone skin.
I hope this information helps. |

I found that the Pear & Poppyseed exfoliator followed with the Stone Crop masque was really helpful in bringing down the redness of current acne breakouts.
The Herbal Spot serum, however, didn't seem to help at all. Actually, I suspect that this product caused more breakouts but haven't been brave enough to re-integrate it into my routine. |

The name of this mask caught my eye, so I checked the ingredients:
Ingredients:
Tomato Puree, Tomato Juice, Garlic Puree, Glycerin, Honey Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, St. John’s Wort, Sweet Yellow Clover, Vitamin B, C, E, Lecithin, Xanthan Gum, Biotin, Benzoic Acid, Folic Acid, Sorbic Acid
Looks like one can mix tomato puree with garlic, apply it on the face and save a lot of money!

I had tried soooo many Eminence products. almost any serum and any mask and moisturizer. However none of them make my skin super good. It just natural, ok, organic products.
Instead I found Synergie skincare the best so far. |

Stone crop set:
Cleanser: 4/5
Mask: 3/5 (no difference after 3 weeks)
serum 4/5 (hydrating, that is it !)
gel: 3/5 ( too sticky)
moisturizer 3.5/5 (ok, not too good) |

Sun cream:
Vanilla: hydrating, but need to apply when your skin is moist or else you will find "rubber pieces" when you apply your cream in circular motion. |

I tried one of the Eminence eye creams and found it a bit harsh for me-my eyes would feel and look more puffy with it?
it is not the right product for me.
Also tried the Eight Greens whip? moisturizer and it seemed ok,but did not do anything different than my regular face cream. |

I've used the Hungarian Mud mask and it was surprisingly effective.
I didn't find it to be very hot at all; I actually experience more redness from a Ghassoul mask.
I didn't dilute it either.
I think it's silly to buy an organic product and then criticize it because it has natural ingredients in it.
I like using skincare products that could be eaten!
Remember that what you put on you skin goes into your bloodstream! Nicotine and estrogen patches work in this way, right?
So, I prefer to not have all kinds of chemicals in my skincare. One of my favorite skincare products is honey, and yes, you could put it on toast, but is that really a criticism - or is it a good thing?! |

Not everything you put on you skin goes into your bloodstream (e.g., AHAs).
Natural and organic does not necessarily mean good. We all know that mother nature can come up with the most poisonous substances that no man can ever re-create.
Natural ingredients can irritate skin more than non-natural. Besides, they are not stable and deteriorate very fast without preservatives. This is why it is wiser and cheaper to use fresh avocado than an avocado mask packaged in a jar.
You are right about honey, it is a very beneficial ingredient but not for all skin types.

Of course not everything natural is good for you (uranium comes to mind), that's not what I said.
A recent study in the U.S. found 287 chemicals in the cord blood of newborns. That is 287 substances that would not have been there a hundred years ago. No one knows what the long term effects of any of them is either.
I prefer to assume that they are harmful until proven safe; rather than assume they're safe until proven harmful!

The chemicals in the cord blood of newborns are from food, water, air, etc.
SoCalGal, you said that everything you put on goes into your bloodstream. This is simply not true.
Besides, the natural ingredients that have not been properly preserved (like in the case of Eminence skincare line) can be problematic for skin because of bacteria. Eminence natural products are grandma's home remedies which means most of the ingredients are not supported by research. If somebody believes in them, that's fine. But then there is no need to spend $50 on the grapefruit mask, one can just to go and buy fresh organic grapefruits and use them as mask. |

The chemicals in cord blood are from the baby's bloodstream. Food? What food? What water or air???? The cord was in utero!!!!!
And I never said you had to buy a mask, I specifically mentioned honey as a face mask. You're deliberately misunderstanding me, and the bit about cord blood containing food is just bizarre.
I don't know what your agenda is, but it's not served by being ridiculous.
This is the end of my replying to you and your nonsense. |

You are obviously not very familiar with prenatal environmental influences, and simply choose to be rude.
My agenda is to express my opinion, which is not only permissible here but encouraged. I was responding to the following statements:
1) I think it's silly to buy an organic product and then criticize it because it has natural ingredients in it.
2)Remember that what you put on you skin goes into your bloodstream!
Hence, I explained why I criticized the line with natural ingredients. Second, I disagreed with the second statement. Not everything that you put on goes into your bloodstream. The child gets teratogens from prescription drugs, alcohol, coffee, radiation, pollution, viruses, etc., but not from skincare products ( with the exception of several ingredients that have small fat-soluble molecules like retinoids).
I am sorry, I disagreed with you.

The Eminence line is amazing in my opinion. If you happen to have an esthetician in your area that gives facials with eminence products GET ONE. The professional line is incredible. I have med semi-sensitive skin with occasional break outs and my favorite products are:
Rosehip exfoliating mask
lime stimulating mask (mix with rosehip mask)
eucalyptis cleansing consentrate
lemon cleanser (mix it with euca cleanser)
stonecrop toner
stonecrop whip moisturizer
thermal spring whip moisture
stonecrop body lotion
naseberry body lotion
cinnamon body lotion (Hot)
Sugar plum moisturizer
Sugar plum body lotion
If I had to chose one product from the whole line it would have to be the lime stimulating mask.
Since the founders of eminence left eminence and created ILIKE Ive been trying there products. Some of there line is exactly the same as eminence. The ILIKE masks are definitely nicer and more potent then the Eminence line but the moisturizers had a weird pearlescent look to them and they made me break out. The only Eminence product I would replace with an ILIKE product would be the rosehip exfoliating mask (INCREDIBLE). |

I have sensitive skin, I tried stone crop and Hisacus, both are good for me. It's not sensitive
hibiscus mask - make your face feel cool, white and fresh
tomato sun cream - good for summer |

I bought Eminence Rose Collection Tube as each item is about 1/2 oz. The size is more suitable and reasonable as it's my first time to use it.
I don't want to waste the products. If they are not suitable, it is a complete waste of my money and products.
Luckily, the products seem good and I like the sweet red rose cleanser. Once you try it, you must love it. It smells good! |
