I used RapidLash for over a year before starting Careprost. I've never had any problems with it making my lashes grow in different directions, but I have heard of that happening to others.
Regarding Careprost/Rapidlash being used in a scalp solution, I don't think a few drops added to the scalp solution would make a big enough difference to make the hair grow any faster. I take 2 5000 mcg of Biotion (one in the morning, one in the eveining). It's made my thinning hair stop falling out and now I have new hair sprouts growing in. Yay! It takes about 2-3 months to see results. Some people get results with only 5000 mcg a day, some with only 1000 mcg. So, I'd start with the lowwest dosage and go from there. |
Try Viviscal for hair growth....it is the only thing that has ever really worked for me. |

Since the biotin is way cheaper and is working okay for me, I'll stick to that for now. I may look into the Viviscal if the biotin stops working. |

Biotin is definitely cheaper. Unfortunately it didn't work for me, and with 50% hairloss I was pretty desperate at that point! |

I cant say enough good things about Careprost. Been using for maybe 1.5 years now and my lashes are twice the length they used to be - and thicker and darker. Sadly I didnt take any before or after pics but I love the results. And when I wear mascara my lashes look mega. Great stuff |

That's great to hear, Glamcat. When did you start to notice them getting thicker and darker? I'm only noticing length right now. |

I've started my mom on the biotin because she is at a point where she will need a wig in another year or so. If it doesn't work for her, I'll tell her about the Viviscal. Thanks! |

My length and thickness kind of went hand-in-hand - but as I'd gone from wearing eyelash extensions that had pretty much destroyed my natural lashes lol my natural lashes were so short and stumpy it was quite horrifying! It took a good 3-4 months to 'rehabilitate' my lashes and for them to start growing. But once the effects kicked in I knew this was something I would never ever be without ever again! |

Hi!
I clicked on the 2 links for Careprost (All Day and In House) at one site, it's 10 dollars while the other is 30 dollars for the same 0.03% 3ml bottle--am I reading this wrong?
Thanks sandooch for giving us hope! |

Thank you for the advice sandooch and bethany. I have been taking Biotin for a while and just bought Viviscal last week. Will let you know how it goes. |

Hi Kit, they both even out in the end. All day charges a lot for shipping, equalling out to around $30, so many people will order 2 to 3 Careprosts to take advantage of the one time shipping charge. But I've read that some people get extra charges All Day on their credit cards, so I'm not willing to take that chance. |

Thank you so much for clarifying! My lashes are okay other than their length so I think I'll take your words and run with them! Will I need 2 bottles to see results IYO? I'm pushing 60 years old (yikes)!
Thank you again! |

I have virtually no eyebrows or eyelashes at all...I'm pretty sure that, if I could see close enough (even though I have a magnified mirror) you'd be able to count the number of hairs on each eye and eyebrow. It seems to be genetic - my Mum has no eyelashes or eyebrows at all; over the years, as hers fell out, they gradually just stopped growing back. Now, the same thing seems to be happening to me.
I used Jan Marini (the old formula) a few years back, and that seemed to make a little bit of difference, but not much. As I understand it, the new Jan Marini formula doesn't have any prostoglandins in it, and is basically not much more than a eyelash conditioner, so I never bothered to get it again. I have since tried Idol Lash and Enormous Lash...neither of them did anything at all.
I started using Careprost three weeks ago, and am desperately hoping that this product will effect some improvement in both my eyebrows and eyelashes. Latisse isn't available in Australia, and Lumigan only under prescription (my doctor won't write out a script because he seems to think my 'issue' is too trivial), so I purchased the Careprost through InHousePharmacy. Cost $30 for postage to Australia, but worth it if I could even get a twenty percent improvement in my short, sparse eyelashes. |

Sandooch,
I swear by Folligen shampoo and conditioner. I have fine hair. My hair is now thicker than it was before. It would start to look scraggly if I grew it past my collar bone. Now my hair looks great. It is down to my shoulders. I use heat protectant and blow dry every day.
I am even getting my husband to use Folligen. I hope it helps his thinning hair.

I never had an issue with All Day Chemist. There is someone on the EDS boards who was doing a group order. It cost $9 shipping.
Also, I got my doctor to prescribe Careprost. He had never heard of it but humored my vanity. I have free generic prescriptions with my insurance plan. |

Love Careprost . It’s the generic version of Latisse, which is an eye lash growing serum. I loved latisse, but at about $150 a bottle it starts to get very expensive after long use. My moms friend had told her about careprost, and we absolutely love it. If you're curious this is reliable site where I found Careprost a way cheaper (Bimatoprost, Lumigan - they are all the same thing):
http://www.reliablewebs.net/go/Careprost+Bimatoprost
Their customer service was fantastic, price was awesome and I received my order within a few days. They also sent me a promo code "SALE10" to get 10% off. Hope this helps! I have had no side effects with it. The only downside is it can be extremely hard to find a website to purchase it! If you can find it though, it is true gold! |
