I know that it is very important to drink lots of water each day. I try to, but most of the time---ok all of the time--I'd rather have cocoa or coffee. Do you guys have any tips on how I can make the whole water thing more appealing? I used to put a bit of lemon in my water and that worked fine until I got very tired of it.... |

I like it with a little added honey and lemon. Or perhaps keep some cold herbal tea like peppermint tea - I doubt that would retract from the benefits of the water since it doesn't contain any caffiene. |

Hi kittylove,
Some things I've put in my water are a fresh basil leaf, a slice of an orange, fresh peeled ginger root for a spicy flavor, or a mint leaf.
The thing about water is, the more you get used to drinking it, the more your body will crave it and it will be easier to drink.
Water cleanses your body. Think about it like rinsing dishes. The best thing is just plain water. You wouldn't rinse a clean dish with coffee or tea. Your body has to do some work to extract the water out of those drinks. That's why pure water is so good.
check out the testimonials at http://www.watercure2.org/ this may help motivate you to drink more as well.

Definately love hot water with honey and lemon. It is also very good for the skin. There are also many herbal tea without caffine. I also mix water with whatever juice I have (50% each). |

Hi, I just like the taste of Naya, and Kirkland bottled water. Try it, this water really has a good taste. Coffee and tea have caffeine that makes you lose water. It is better to find a drink that you will like and without caffeine. I also try apple cider with sugar and hot water (you can buy this in the coffee shop).

the amount of water you need also depends on your lifestyle. The average grown up should drink 2 - 3 litres (don't know what that is in oz or gallons). If you're an athlete or work out alot (sweat a lot) you should drink about 5 litres.
Drinking too much can be bad for your health, leading to bowl problems... |

I keep a 32 oz. jug in the fridge with lemon or cucumber slices in it and refill it when it is gone so that I know I have had at least 64 oz. in conjunction with other drinks during the day. (Had this at a spa and it was just a nice little touch). I never drink more than 4 glasses in an hour though, always been told that was too much. Also, If I go to the bathroom, I then go drink a glass of water by habit. It helps me remember to keep drinking it. They say hot water with lemon will jump start your detoxifying mode. |
