Hey ladies I am usually a lurker with something to add every once in awhile...
I was just recently reading a report about nanotechnology and the use of it in skin care and I was wondering what your thoughts were on this process? |

Depends on what the use is. TONS of physical sunscreens use nanosized particles, which make them much more cosmetically elegant since they don't leave a white cast. But I'm also a bit freaked out by the potential for absorption rates.
So far, I still use a nanosized zinc oxide sunscreen, because it's the most cosmetically elegant sunscreen I've ever found. And I think nanosized zinc is still better for me than most of the chemical sunscreens out there, even if the small particles do pose some risk.
This is the only area of nanotechnology that I know anything about, though. Can't speak to other uses of it. |
