Hi, your "snacks" should be heathly ones of course to be sure your skin is heathly. I do like rice cakes, sweet peas snaps, carrots, bananas, I like to indulge with pretzels, and popcorn. But stay away from the sweets, your skin will thank you for it. |

I'd also add almonds to the list. Almonds are incredibly good for you ... and it doesn't take many to satisfy your hunger. I don't know if almonds are specifically good for your skin, but they haven't done mine any harm.

Rice cakes are bad for skin (VERY high glycemic index; because they are puffed and have high surface area the simple starches are absorbed quickly and result in a blood sugar spike). Basically you want antioxidants and good oils. Berries of all sorts are great (fiber and antioxidants). Healthy Choice has a peanut butter with Omega 3s added. Yogurt without sugar, frozen cooked shrimp are good snacks. Flax is another good source of omega 3s "The Baker" makes a good flax/bran bread. As someone mentioned earlier nuts are a good source of good oils and make a good snack particularly almonds, walnuts and macdamia nuts. |

Drink a lot of water and stay away from the soft drinks like Coke, Pepsi, etc. They won't do your skin any favors. |

I love snacking on popcorn, I have just purchesed a popcorn maker and it takes literally a couple of minutes to produce a huge bowl of popcorn.
Not only is popcorn good for you and low in fat it also releases seratonin (happy chemicals) and gives the same high effect as chocolate
Also Carrot sticks, celery sticks, Fruit, nuts and seeds.
Plain nuts with spices sprinkled over makes a nice snack.
I drink lots of water, green tea and peppermint tea.
If you are craving chocolate then go for the dark stuff, the higher in cocoa solids the better. |

The best kind is just the plain popcorn, no butter, salt or sugar. I buy a huge bag of popping kernals and make it from scratch.
Nothing beats the smell of hot popcorn. |

I get frozen cooked shrimp at the Costco in a platic bag witha zip top. For a snack you just take a few out and put in a cup of warm water for a minute or and two pat dry.
Although others have listed this you can get cans/bottles of all sorts of sugar free teas. Teas are wonderful for the skin. Or just buy your fav tea flavor brew and keep iced in the fridge. There are all sorts of green teas now (earl Green, mint green even "Constant Comment" Green).
I like celery stuffed with peanut butter. |

Fish. almonds are great for your skin. eat colorful veggies and fruit. (i know i know its hard to eat healthy when there are cookies and other yummy things) remember when your body is healthy your skin is healthy. try to stay away from foods that are too acidic.
If you have a blender you can get lots of fruit and make your own smoothies. |

Avocado is GREAT. <3 Especially with Tuna...tuna + onions + a *little* bit of mayonaise, then put it with your avocado...it's SO delicious and great for your skin. :] Avocado is high in fatty acids and vitamin E and a bunch of other oils that are awesome for your skin. Plus, you feel great after it. Yeah, it's high in fat , but hey, just go burn it off after & dont over indulge (1 avocado is good enough). not a big deal.
Umm. Cucumber! I love cucumber. I eat it before bed and my skin / body feels great the next morning. Actually, eating any fruit or veggie before bed will make you feel / look fantastic.
Hmm. If you can find Almond Butter, it's SO great for your skin. you can get a little more of the almond oil on your toast since it's all crushed up. I prefer it to Peanut butter since it's less salty.
Tomatoes are great...LEMONS---awesome for cleansing out your system. Whole wheat! lots of kids our age don't like whole wheat...but I like it...maybe cause my mom has forced it down my throat all these years, haha! Soya milk too. Milk isn't great for your skin...I mean, if you put it on topically it makes it really smooth but soy is wayy better (I actually splash my face with organic soy that has almost no sugar (2 grams, i think). it really firms, tightens, and cleanses my face! great for sensitive skin, so i would think. soothing..)
Eh. that's all I can really remember right now from the top of my head.
anyways, good luck!
I shall go to bed and study for my science final tomorrow. -sob- |

fruit, veggies, nuts.
Avoid anything processed (they are evil on skin).
A word about shrimp, it's very high in cholesterol..therefore you should limit intake to once every 2 weeks. Baked salmon, sole, tuna, haddock etc. are much better choices. |
