Has anyone ever tried this mama lotion. It is a powererful combonation (20%) of maleic and something else starting with an ma acid (thus the MaMa lotion). I got it in the mail yesterday adn started using it last night. Let me know if anyone else has tried it and if not i will let you all know how its going if anyone is interested. On the card the bottle comes with (as well as two samples) it says that it helps with scarring, discolorations, and acne.

I know this is kind of old, but I wanted to see how your results were. I asked for (and got) a free sample. I tested it...and it tingled/stung but left no long term reaction. So I put a thin layer over my face at night... still tingling but no 'side effects'/ no reaction. I waited a day in between and this morning I put a few 'spot treatment' globs on some of the darkest hyperpigmentation spots from my pimples. Still stung, but now (about 5 hours later), I have these larger, dark spots...basically EVERYSINGLE place where I put the stuff is a DARK geryish brown. I noticed shortly after I put it on (30 min after), it kinda got 'foamy'/'frothy' looking...but I figured that ment it was working... Then about an hour after that, i noticed the dark spots. I figured it might be the lotion changing color, so i washed my face... STILL THERE!!
Now I'm scared... I might have made the problem worse! but if you or anyone else can offer some kind of reassurance that this is somewhat normal with a 20% AHA product...I'll feel better.
I hope these fade a way within day or so...My best case scenerio is that they will get flaky, crusty and come off within 2-3 days and reveal even toned skin.
They're REALLY noticable & I dont really wear makeup and dont want to put makeup over them
Did anyone else have a similar experience when you tried this? |

It sounds very strange. Please make sure you wear a lot of sunscreen until yout skin evens out again. It seems like for a 20% product, the reaction is harsh. They could get crusty, and peel off, but usually that entire process takes days, not minutes, so I am uncertain as to what happened to your skin; unless it is some kind of allergic reaction. |

Hello ladies,
Any updates on Mama lotion? I am thinking of purchasing it and wonder so far how were your results. |
