Based on what you have described, your acne sounds easy to treat. The sebaceous (oil) glands tend to be most-active in the t-zone: forehead, nose, and chin!
I would start with a balancing cleanser, such as Dermalogica's Special Cleansing Gel; this is a great one for combination skin. If your skin is truly oily, their Dermal Clay Cleanser would be more appropriate. After cleansing, follow with Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. This will remove any dead skin cells, which trap oil & dirt:mad:
It is important to hydrate the skin; even oily skin! For combination skin: Dermalogica Active Moist. OR Murad's Skin Perfecting Lotion ACNE combines hydration & treatment in one!
Consider other acne causing factors: hair products (spray, wax, pastes) can clog pores. Also, if you're active, you might want to carry-around the super-handy Dermalogica Anti-Bac. Wipes: great to use after the gym, on the go, after practice, etc. |
