I started using AlphaDerma CE two weeks ago. It peels off under my foundation very often. How do I make it stay put under the foundation? TIA. |

I have never had a problem like what you mention with AlphaDermaCE. These are my thoughts on the problem you are having:
Do you exfoliate your skin once or twice a week? I find exfoliating is important to prepare your skin for your skincare routine.
Are you using too much AlphaDermaCE? I have been using ADCE and Prep for over a year. I find that 1 pump does my whole face and neck. If you are using the Prep be sure it penetrates your skin before applying ADCE (1 pump of Prep for face and neck).
I suggest you wait 5 minutes after applying AlphaDerma before applying foundation. What kind of foundation are you using? I very rarely wear makeup but when I do I use a water base product or tinted moisturizer. I have used Bare Essential Minerals with no problem.
Hope this helps. |

I have recently started using ADCE too and have been emailing Jansen Becket direct for some advice on usage. I have given up as they haven't responded and didn't respond previously when I emailed about the ingredients. Maybe someone here will help?
I was wondering how ADCE fits in with my nightly use of Retin-A? Is it OK to apply the ADCE after the Retin-A, or should the two products be applied at different times of the day? Instructions indicate that ADCE should be used twice a day but I do not want to syop the Retin-A as I have fantastic results with it.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

This is somewhat off topic but I too have not had a good experience with JB lately. I have sent 2 emails and logged on to online help 3 times and each time waited 40 minutes and no one answered. Because I didn't get a response to my question I missed the 35% off sale (again not happy.) I wanted to find a moisturizer to pair with my ADCE and Prep. I also was going to purchase the C&C serum. I hope that I don't break out like I did with Skinceuticals C&E. My skin is fair and dry with the occasional breakouts. Any suggestions? |

I will see if I can find the correct answer for you regarding usage of Retin A and ADCE. Personally I would apply ADCE on a very small area of your face prior to appying RetinA. If after a few nights of this you don't have any sensitivity you most likely can use ADCE with Retin A nightly. AlphaDerma should not irritate you skin in any way but as you are using an RX product on you skin it is wise to test first. I see no problem using AlphaDerma in the AM when not applying Retin A. Using AlphaDerma two times daily is ideal. If you find you can only use it in the AM I think you will still see benefits.

If you are using retin a wait at least one hour after application of retin a to use any type of serum or moisturizer. This allows penetration of the retin a. Ideal is no moisturizer for best efficiacy but it will still give good results if you wait at least 1 hour. |

I placed my first order with JB yesterday and had problems with online ordering. As soon as I has completed all steps and clicked the final continue button to pay, I received an error message and it directed my back to the home page, and deleted my order information. ??? I kept checking my e-mail for order confirmation, received none, so tried it again, and again. I finally received an order confirmation, but am concerned that there are now three orders for AlphaDerma CE, Skin Preg and Okusil. I phoned the 800 number and explained the online problems, and my concern with multiple orders and multiple charges on my VISA. |

Last night I did hear from JB (Ian) and did mention the fustrations people were having trying to reach JB email. Certainly I can understand that as I also needed a question answered and did not hear from anyone.
In all fairness I think for months we were spoiled by the one on one attention from JB. After chatting with Ian I realize that the emails being received are quite frankly overwhelming and impossible to answer in a timely manner. We all need to call JB if we have a question that can not be answered on their website.
As far as the online help...I tested it for the first time last night. Fortunately I was able to get a response in a few minutes. I did not ask JB how this works but I do believe that there is one person on the weekends doing live chat. During the week surely there are more people answering live chat.
I do order from LLBean and get fustrated with Live Chat in general. Either you get someone immediately or have to wait a LONG time.
Best bet: Call Janson Beckett. |

We at JB apologize if you have not been replied to from an e-mail. We were attacked by another company with a fake JB site being put up and pushed as our own. The site waswww.janson-beckett.net not dot com. In the end we contacted our attorneys and they found out who it was (I previously had the name of the competiter here but decided I would not lower my self to their level so I removed it). Can you beleive that; instead of making a better product they resort to unscrupulous methods to try and get sales. The site linked directly to Avotone. I am not saying it was Avotone but you figure it out as it was directly linked to Avotone's site. Once our attorney spoke with theirs it was down in a matter of hours as what they were doing was illegal. Now the same company has gone as far as reported us to the on line governing site that moniters claims of what the manufacturer says. I can't even imagine someone having enough time to do all that crap instead of trying to better their own company and product. Now we will possibly have to deal with the FTC and FDA because of that company's crap. It really is a shame that we could possibly in the near future have to walk away from this company and the product stop being distributed because of one ruthless competitor. I seriously can't see that happening but it is a legal battle that our company has been dealing with for more than a month now. I guess when I made a great product the competition was not prepared and can't combat the loss of sales in any other manner than this. Any one out there that would write a letter in defense of AlphaDerma and how much it helped you would be much appreciated. The company discount if anyone missed because of lack of a response from us will be given the chance to use it. Just contact us and we will make good. Please write the letter in and mail it to 2010 springdale rd unit 100, Cherry Hill NJ 08003 and we will be very greatful. Lets face it there are so many people JB and our items have helped why should a jealous company get to spoil it for everyone. The 35% Employee discount was only available to our own mailing lists and not publisized. Please write either by e-mail or letter the truth about our company and your real experience with the JB products. This would mean alot to me personally as it has been a long road working on this project and trying my best to help people with any and all skin care needs. Imagine if they can get away with pulling Janson Beckett down; we make the same claims as 90% of the wrest of the anti aging community, who will be their next target? Don't worry we are not going any where but now we have to spend most of our time watching over this type of junk and making sure they are not doing anything else underhanded! Beleive me with the way some of these companies work it is a full time job.

I'm really sorry to hear that Ian, that sucks. A similar thing happened to my father with his business and while he did win the case it certainly took a lot of energy, lots of stress as well, and quite a bit of money in the process (though the case would be relatively small compared to this one).
I'll definitely write a letter - not for the discount but for the sole purpose of making sure my mum doesn't freak out at the prospect of no more ADCE/prep
Good luck! |

I'll also be happy to write a letter from the UK in support of your products, too, in the hope that it will help.
I've only fairly recently become a customer of yours and would hate to be without my beloved JB stuff! It's been like a miracle for my skin and I've receive fantastic service from you site.
Call me naive, but I had no idea the industry could be so competitively sneaky and underhand. I really hate that kind of thing.
Best of luck with the ongoing battle. I really hope you win. |

I would just like to voice my support of Ian's company JB. I think Ian, and his team have really tried to design a quality new cutting edge product in a very competitive market.
This is my first post, I have been a quiet observer, using this forum to select the most effective skincare in the market today.
We distribute JB's products from our skincare
salon in Thailand. I have had great feedback from my clients as to the effectiveness of Ian's product, and feel disgusted that another company would try to feed off the hard work
that Ian and his team have accomplished.
If anyone on this board, had to choose just one product to use, that would yield the most results in terms of fighting mother time, I think there would be an overwhelming consensus as to what that product would be.
Sure, we all incorporate many other different products into our skin care regime, the big guns which are proven and tested to be of real benefit to our skin, such as vitamin C serums (pick your own flavor, there are many) Aha's, vitamin A, etc.
No one product will ever be created that will contain all the ingredients above, as they just don't blend, otherwise Ian would of formulated his product with the inclusion of Aha's, retinols etc.
I think ALpha Derma's strength lies in it's non irritating ingredients that work together to reduce wrinkles caused by repetitive facial contractions, while at the same time also improving the skins texture gently.
Ian has ingeniously formulated a product, that anyone can use, men/women, all ages, races, with extremely low irritant levels, but at the same time, being very effective.
At this point in time, from a purely scientific standpoint, there is no other stand alone product that has the same quality ingredients blended as effectively as Alpha Derma, sorry there just isn't.
Anyone reading Ian's posts will know that he truly cares for his customers, sure he is a business man, (as am I) we are here to make money, that's life, but he has not let the temptation to increase profits jeopardize his
integrity, and care for us, his customers.
That shows in his many posts on EDS, he has been fair, not once have I seen a post where he looks down on another competitors product, or used this forum to push his products down our throats.
Ian has a top quality product, and is a top quality person.
Good luck in 2006, head up mate, stand behind your product with pride, fight off the scum that have tried to cash in on your hard work.
God bless & Happy new year to everyone on EDS.

I have found better products and 1000% better customer service elsewhere.
I find CellularSkinRX to be far superior to JB products. Love their C+ Firming Serum and Realx-aline. Shipping on Cellularskinrx.com is only $2. Their customer service is AWESOME.
Also you can get their products here on EDS, and we all know EDS customer service ROCKS!
Just my opinion....

I must say I am very satisfied with the AlphaDerma CE. I've been using it since August and now my skin texture, tone and wrinkles have improved tremendously. My face just looks like lifted, more youthful is another word. I haven't had any experience dealing with the company Janson Beckett. I bought my AlphaDerma CE and other stuff from the Goldportbeauty site. They have great prices and excellent CS. I'm on my 2nd bottle. I love the Skin Prep and C&C serum also. |

If Alphaderma ever stops being made my mum is sure to cry She loves it and gets great results with it. She hasn't tried all that many argireline products so far but she definitely prefers the ADCE to the CSRx relaxaline. Mind you, she is also using the JB skin prep gel and I'm not sure if she used that with the CSRx... |
