Hi
Has anyone in the UK been able to use UK GHD's in the USA? I know we have 240v over here and they have 110v, if I buy an adapter can I still use them over there, will they heat up, anyone tried it?
Failing that, can I buy the equivalent of GHD's (ie thin straightening irons) over there?
Thanks

You can buy different versions of GHDs - so you can definitely buy a 110v in the US. However, if you buy the correct power adapter then you will not have a problem. I use power adapters when I travel to the US and have not had any problems at all. Just take the GHD to the shop with you so that you get the right one as I think it may not be just voltage but also frequency that you need to match. |

Yes I have and there was no problem, not sure if they were as hot as normal or it was just my imagination but did the job.... |
