I'm pretty sure Bad Bird suggested this LRP product as being the least greasy...
I looked up this product and one of the listed active ingredients was
univul N539 (along with Mexoryl Xl, Mexoryl SX, Titanium dioxide and Parsol 1789)...
Is this Univul thing stable? and i've heard that Parsol 1789 might not be so good. is that true? |

Hi Cautious Newbie,
No, I didn't suggest that this was the least greasy, but the gel may be less oily compared to the Lait or Emulsion. The cream is definitely the heaviest of the lot.
Uvinul N539T is the trademarked name of Octocrylene, which is used to stabilise Parsol 1789, also known as Avobenzone.
LRP sunscreens are definitely photostable. |

Thanks Bad Bird...no, it wasn't u who suggested it. It was SugarFreeShiela who said it was the least oily LRP product (but u can't buy it in canada). This LRP tends to be all chemical sunscreen and only the 1 physical titanium dioxide.
<sigh> i would prefer to find one with less chemical sunscreen.
since i read the sunscreen threads i have stopped using anything until I can choose a new stable one (that isn't so sticky) it's been a week already and i feel so strange everytime i go outside...it's been the first time in at least a decade that i haven't been out with some kind of (what i thought) protection ! |

Hello! The least oily/sticky La Roche-Posay sunscreen I have come across is the Anthélios XL Fluide Extreme 60. However, I do wear the Anthélios W Gel 40 on the 3 days a week I go to the gym, because it's more "solid" and tends to never run into my eyes. The finish of the latter is sticky, and frankly I could never wear my hair any way but slicked back into a bun with this Anthélios W 40 Gel, which is why it's a gym-only sunscreen for me. Since I only walk for cardio and lift light weights, I tend to not really sweat in my workouts, so this block is appropriate for this purpose. |
