Well, my husband married a werewolf and doesnt know it and I am tired of my hairy face so I decided to do the Yag laser since I have darker skin.I had my first treatment it was not bad at all,the worst part was the noise of the blast of the laser but it didnt hurt except when they past it over the top lip it did hurt a little. I was surprised I wasnt even really red afterwards. The cost was 150 to do the whole face,I will probably need 5 treatments a month apart. They can also zap out those red pesky veins around my nose ,but the laser would have to be cranked up a little higher to do that,I plan to do that next.My facial hair should start falling out in a week....I also bought an eppilator for my legs but that sucker REALLY hurts,I start to do it and then I chicken out and stop. |

The yag is a wonderful laser for permanent hair reduction. THere is no such thing as a permanent hair REMOVAL though alot of clinics out there are promoting their hair removal treatments as such. I've had this done twice on my arms and legs and the hair has hardly grown back at all in the past 3 months which was the last time I did it. However it's pricey and I wouldnt be able to afford it if I didn't work in a clinic that has the machine. I do find that IPL works better for blond/brown hair though. We've had many complaints about the yag not being able to remove really light hair completely. Enjoy your hair free days! |

Yes, I plan toget it on some red veins on face but she wants to wait and see how the hair thing goes first since to do the veins she has to crank the machine higher and she wants to first see how my skin reacts to the lower strength first. |

Good idea. My derm burned me in one place because the setting was too high. It healed fine and of course, he didn't charge me. |

I've been using this type of laser for the last 7, yes count them 7 years! I do see major reduction, but I am still going every 8-12 weeks for my face. I like it becuase it not only removes the hair (temporarily) but it also makes my skin look better. |

I do not want to spend 7 years going for treatments! I was hoping to knock most of it out in 7 treatments otherwise I will just stop. |

Is there a yag laser that can be used at home? |

That happened to me too, my whole bikini area, hurt something awful, peeled and everything, I was furious but it healed fine and I have no hair so I'm happy. |

I had Palomar Starlux IPL on my legs 7 years ago, 3-4 treatments, the hair never came back. I have very dark hair so that might have helped. |
