Hi Everyone! I'm new to the forum. My name is Annie and I'm 25 years old. I have never tried Mineral Make-Up and want to know if it's worth using with the dry skin that I have. I've tried other make-up and it doesn't seem to give me the natural look that I'm looking for. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! |

Hi, Annie,
I have very dry skin and have found that, as long as I exfoliate regularly (I use EpidermX once or twice weekly) and keep my skin well-moisturised so there's no flakiness, mineral make-up works very well indeed for me.
The brand and type I use is Jane Iredale's Loose Powder Base. I apply it, using a circular, buffing motion, with the Jane Iredale Handi Brush, and then gently buff any areas where it looks powdery with a flocked sponge (got my flocked sponge fromwww.pureluxcosmetics.com ). Finally, to set the foundation and make sure it looks natural, I give it a quick spritz using Jane Iredale's Spritzer.
Hope that helps. With any luck, you'll get a few more replies so you get a wider choice of MMU products that might be suitable for your skin. It's worth getting hold of some samples of various brands to try, as they are often very different. What works for one person may not work as well for another.
Best of luck with finding the right brand for you. |

Hello
In the "search" feature look up mineral make up. You will find many many posts from people who have "found" their dream mineral make up. I have found mine "TRUE". It is all a personal choice. Some things that work for some does not work for others. Good luck on your quest. I DO HIGHLY suggest mineral though! |
