I couldn't be more in love with this product if I tried. It's a face shimmer/gleam product that looks as natural as can possibly be and may be applied under, over or mixed with your foundation. It is as great for mature skins as young skins as it seems to disguise rather than enhance laughter lines.
It comes in a lovely applicator, with twist bottom and mesh top (through which the product appears when you twist). The product itself is a pink/gold but neither colour is noticeable when applied to the skin.
Definitely my new HG of glow enhancers!
Alas, this product contains parabens, but if you use it over five other products as I do, and only to highlight certain areas, I don't think this is much of an issue.

I just got this product and really like it as well. It has a glow and not a shine. Very youthful looking and easy to get just the right amount. It's like icing on the cake! |

"Icing on the cake" I like that. I am very impressed with it because it's not overkill. It just works! |

Ordered one last week. The basic color/type of sheen sounds very workable on my skin and with both Antonia and Toby loving it..... It should arrive tomorrow. |

I absolutely love this product and received it in a gift pack for Christmas from a friend. It gives you that Illuminated look without being overly shiny or sparkly, if that makes sense. I also have 'That Gal' face primer which was in the gift pack, and I must say applying this first then the Illuminator really gives your skin a healthy glow without being over done.
When I run out I will definitely be buying the full size version. Sister Sweets you will definitely be in love with this product once you try it out. I also find less is more, as you only need very little to give your skin an amazing finish. |

Hi Ladies: Do you use it all over or just on selected places? I think Antonia uses it on a lower cheek area. |

I use it this way:
nose tip(a dab on each side but still is on the front of the nose)
top of cheeks close to eye corners
dab above the mouth
dab below the mouth
on top of the brow
tips from a makeup artist(I am sure each has their own ideas but this is great for me) |

I just use it to highlight certain areas of my face like Toby has suggested. I also like to use it on my Decollete area when wearing something V-Neck and low cut to give me a nice glow. |

I apply my foundation to the central panel of my face and under my eyes, blending it outwards. Then I apply the GMP to the lower outer part of my cheek, over the cheekbone, on the "triangle of youth" just under the inner corner of my eye (over the pale blue if I've got time to fuss), and just in the bow of my upper lip. |

I use it on cheekbones, and above upper lip on cupids bow after foundation and before powder. By Terry cosmetics has a beautiful highlighting product as well I use, (but pricey ++), Or De Rose Elixer Supreme. |

I have and love the That Gal you mentioned, the only reason I held off on buying the Girl Meets Pearl was wondering how they worked together and if both were necessary? You have answered that nicely so order I will! Thanks for reviewing both in your post! |

Sounds like a powder? That may be easier than my Benefits High Beam. I love it for blondes and it blends in smoothly (it's like a bottle of nail polish), but a powder would be nice too. |

They are both more a cream consistency but they twist up out through small holes, makes it next to impossible to spill or use too much. |

Antonia, can I ask what applying this to the "lower outer part" of the cheek achieves? TIA!
Thanks everyone for the application tips! I recently added a dab of illuminizer to the bow of the upper lips and below the lower lips as suggested and it is quite pretty. |

I bought this yesterday evening and uses it today. This is really a beautiful look. I loved it in the cupids bow and on the cheek bones also above the arch of my brow. I had a hard time using restraint! |

DarkMoon there not necessarily both needed, however when used together they give your skin a wonderful healthy looking glow and flawless finish that looks amazing.
I also just use the Girl Meets Pearl on it's own when I don't want to wear makeup to give my skin a little pick me up without looking over done, also I use the Primer and Pearl together for a natural flawless finish and the Pearl just gives me a hint of colour so I don't look pasty when not wearing make-up.
A wonderful product that I wouldn't be without. I have used other colour enhancers/glow products and because I have fair skin they had a tendency to be a little too orange/peachy if you know what I mean? I think more is less with this product just to give you a hint of colour for a natural looking finish. |

Don't you just love this rmc7!! I found myself also having to use restraint and when I'm wearing anything low cut or v-neck, I find myself mixing this with my moisturiser to give me an added glow.
It is quite addictive and I must thank Santa for sending this too me along with the other added goodies in the gift pack. love it. |

Havana, I wrote a long blog post about this: http://www.middle-ageless.com/2011/01/how-to-apply-highlighting-products-to.html How to apply highlighting products to the ageless face.
In it, I mentioned the fact that women often get a dull, non-reflective appearance to their lower cheek/jaw area as they age. I included a diagram of the area. No one ever seems to consider this area but I find it an age giveaway when I see it. It seems to be a forgotten zone The Girl Meets Pearl works really well here as it is so subtle. |

Thanks Divine Diva,
I was more concerned about if they ball up if used together, I really hate doing half my makeup just to have to wash it off and start over!
I have odd skin in that it eats color, honestly color just seems to evaporate. That makes it hard to over do anything. I use deeper colored blush and shadows than one would expect with my coloring, between light and medium foundation with most and light with some? |

Hi DarkMoon, I just wait for the primer to set and then I apply the other over the top and haven't had any issues with it balling up, however I know what you mean about your face eating up colour!!! My eye's have a tendency to absorb colour unless I prime my eye's first and then my shadow seems to stay put.
If I don't prime and then do my eye makeup, by about lunch time my eye makeup is so pale and washed out as though I hadn't applied any to begin with, so I know what you mean about having bizarre skin that eats colour and this can be quite annoying at times!! So I have found that the Primer helps to keep my makeup looking fresh all day without it going to the Twilight Zone!! |
