Hi there

I was recently reading through the post about taking hyaluronic acid internally for lip plumping effect and decided to try it. I tried taking the source naturals biocell collagen tabs, 3 tabs twice a day. Ever since then, I've noticed my acne clearing up. This may well be a coincidence, or due to something else, but I just wanted to ask if anyone else has noticed this effect???

I did! I take the capsules and use an HA serum on my face. My skin cleared over night! It is smooth, clear and radiant now. I was having a terrible breakout-cystic acne(the first one in almost a year). Now I am all clear! I hope my lips plump out next Wink

Oh wow! That's good news. So it could actually be that that's clearing my acne?? Great! Hope it's alright to be taking 6 tabs a day though... Still not sure if I've noticed any lip plumping..

I use the Derma Beauty HA Gold Dramatic Effect Serum(made with Biocell Collagen). It works great. My skin is not greasy at all! I bought mine at vitacost.com

I've been taking Source Naturals Hyaluronic Acid w/BioCell Collagen II and my skin has been breaking out less and less. Also, it has helped improve my skin tone overall. It seems I've stumbled on a decent routine that is really showing a difference.

I'm going to get the HA serum from Vitacost, thanks for the reference.

By chance does your urine turn really yellow when taking the supplement? I'm just curious because some have reported this effect and I am wondering as to the effect HA may have on the kidney?

I believe that one’s urine turns funny colors when taking many nutritional supplements. Somebody explained it thoroughly in one of the posts a while back, but apparently when one’s urine changes colors while taking a supplement it is because your body is expelling the excess “nutrients” that it didn’t need to put to use in the body. Like, your body took what it needed from the supplements, then let the rest of it empty from your system via the bladder. Does that make sense?!

I have heard that explanation as well. Not to be graphic, but I take a women's GNC mega vitamin every day..........and the end "result" is neon yellow! After some internet research, I have found the same explanation. Your body is merely getting rid of the excess nutrients which it does not need. The color is due to the vitamin.

This happens when your body ejects vitamins that it does not need (i.e. vitamins that were not absorbed). It only happens with water soluble ones, excess non-water-soluble vitamins stick around in your body AFAIK. Also, if I remember correctly the neon yellow urine is usually due to excess vitamin B.

My skin is still clear and I'm sure now that it's the source naturals tablets that are doing it! Is it safe to keep taking them, though?

hey KT, just wondering about your expenses with this product. 60 tablets come in a bottle, right? you're taking 3 tablets twice a day (6 tablets a day), so that means the bottle only lasts for 10 days? Sad doesn't that get expensive???

the bottle, depending on which website you're getting it from, is in the $12 range. so that means you're spending $36 a month? BAAH PLUS SHIPPING!

I decided to try these suppliments after reading this post. I went to my local vitiamn store, after reading a ton of information on line. I read that HA is good for the skin as well as joints. I will tell you (maybe to early to say, could just be a good week for me), I have been taking two capules a day for four days now and I have had one small break out. I think the break out was already under the skin before this BTW. Too early to tell, but I am game for anything that will help my skin
