Hi, I have urgen question about Skinceutical Phyto+ product. Recently I brought a skinceutical Phyto+ from Skincenutical distributor on Ebay. When I open the bottle, I found out there were some kind of fiber or long thread mixed in the bottle. It looks weired. I thought should be really clear. I don't know if this product should be like this. Or the product I brought is expired or defected. Please Help!!!!!!!
Thanks |

Hi cheng2 - I have some SC Phyto+ and it's a clear green liquid -- no stringy stuff in it! I have trouble with breakouts when I use it -- it seems the hyaluronic acid base doesn't agree with my skin (I had the same problem when I tried SC B-5 Gel, which is also HA-based). But maybe I've applied too much when I've used it, and that's what caused the breakouts.
Sometimes I have an acneic reaction to new products that subsides over time. I should probably give Phyto+ more of a chance because the kojic acid ingredient is what's supposed to be key in lightening pigmentation. |

I agree. My phyto+ is a clear green liquid with no stringy things. I also break out when using this product but use other products with hyaluronic acid just fine. My skin agrees with most SC products, too, so I don't know why. |

Actually for both of you, it may be the kojic acid that is irritating the skin. Although kojic acid is safer toxicity wise than hydroquinone skin lightening ingredient, kojic acid can be more irritating.
I personally do not have any problems with kojic. |

Oh yes, that could be the culprit. Hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the feedback. |
