How do you gals do your buff manis? I once had this buffertype thing, but I can´t find one now. I like the almost shiny, no polish look. Help? |

Hi Sharkbait!
I don’t know if this is what you’re looking for, but I did see this product in my local Walgreens called “Neutrogena Instant Nail Enhancer” (it’s also on the Walgreens website). It comes in either Pearl or Buff, and it is supposed to give sort of a healthy shine to nails, but without using actual nail polish. I have considered buying it myself because I do like that healthy “buffed” look on nails…and of course, there’s no worries about chipping (which I always have when I color my nails). Hmmm…I actually do have to hit the Walgreens on the way home tonight…maybe I’ll give it a whirl!
Hope this helps!

Thanks Mary, that sounds interesting. I´ll have to check online if I can find more about it. |

Any drugstore has buffers on the boards with the nail files, tweezers etc. Most have three sections, or some are like little square "logs". Each part does something different (like smoothing ridges). The last step is to buff away. I do this on my finger & toe nails all the time. If I get a pedicure or manicure I even bring my "stuff". My nails never break, split or tear. I use cuticle oil or cream on them at night & buff (my fingernails anyway!) while I'm on the phone or watching tv. |
