I'm 29 years old and have been trying to take better care of my skin these past few months. I use OCM, Burts royal jelly eye cream, Burts rejuvinating serum and PSF Vit C Serum. My skin has improved greatly in terms of breakouts and tone but I noticed that I have a lot more very fine lines around my eye area. I'm seriously freaking out. It's like it happened overnight. My eye area doesn't seem dry. Any suggestions? I really need help! |

I don't think those lines are winkles...they are just dehydration lines. You might not be consuming enough liquid. Also, 29 is a good age to start using eye cream and put sunscreen/block around your eye area. |

Perhaps the eye cream is not rich enough for the skin around the eye area? There could be environmental factors as well, e.g. spending more time in air-conditioned places. Or as Wild Cat suggested, you may not be drinking enough fluids. |

One thing we have to watch out is that some rich eye cream my erase fine lines but it may create those so-called white-heads around the eye area. |

Use Elizabeth Grant's eye serum around the eye area. Its fantastic for crepy looking eyes. Really restores the moisture. |

Does the rejuvenating serum have any retinol in it? Sometimes retinoids/retinols can create some initial crepiness around the eyes until your skin adjusts to it. Probably though, just cold weather and indoor heat could be dehydrating your skin. |

Yes I too have a couple tiny fine lines starting under the eyes and they are always there no matter how much I moisturize that area. Of course they are only noticeable to me, but I was wondering if retinols are ok in the eye area, and if so, how strong should they be? Not sure if I need that yet cuz the lines are tiny now, but I'm using Regenerist by Olay under the eyes to see if that makes an improvement before I move up to Retinols. Not sure if the Retinols are safe though for under eyes. |
